I want to do an Eldar MC spam. Also have a riptide, and since its an expensive model then he's getting a shout too. I do have a squad of HYMP broadsides, and various other Eldar units to put in.

Thoughts?

Looks really solid. That's a scary amount of high tough wounds in 1500 points. I would consider throwing in the broadsides in exchange for a wraithlord, but I know you want max MC's. In regards to your wraithlord wargear, shooting with a scatter laser and bright lance could very well render one useless. I'd go for one anti-tank ranged WL and the other anti-infantry. Or both anti-tank since two flamers already do nicely.

If you want to put your Farseer in the guardian squad of throw a few more bodies in. Otherwise with minimal fire they could wipe your warlord off the board, even with a 3+ cover.

I've also found that rangers squads just don't work anymore. Without being able to guarantee doom their damage got a lot worse, and one serpent shield salvo could easily wipe out the squad. If consider dropping them for more guardians and kroot.

I'm not a fan if the EML on guardians since they got a lot more expensive in this dex. I'd go for a bright lance or scatter laser every time. You should be able to find a good target with a 36" with battle focus.

i would also in fact recomend dropping ever yeml for some tother weapon, then using those points to get other upgrades there so expensive.....

Thanks for feedback

for the wraithlords wargear - I have found that I quite like the scatter laser/BL combo, he often hangs back getting prescienced near the Guardians + Farseer to shoot light armour/MC's at range and be a counter attacker if combat threat is needed to keep stuff away from my troops, whilst the sword wraithlord, Avatar and Wraithknight advance (only rejigged list today to fit Riptide in, but he'll also be going aggresive). I do find that I don't shoot that EML on the w'lord though, so that could probably get dropped. Also, I'll take on board you guys comments about the Rangers. So far, most have ignored them due to me shoving a ton of MC's down their faces but a couple more games to check them out wont hurt

For anti-tank I am mostly just using the Avatar + Wraithknight. Most opponents are struggling to put down the amount of high toughness stuff in the list, so the Avatar with his battle focus and the wraithknight jumping about are usually managing to get right up and start whacking tanks. I imagine this will only get more severe with the inclusion of the RIptide. And it has been nasty armies I've played against - triptide with wraithknight and wraith spam with scythes/barges.

I do however think that my troops are vulnerable, and WS spam or a balanced Tau build are going to give me problems

Looks to be a well thought out and balanced list given your goals. It does have some issues and some RPS matchups, but should do well overall. DE are the worst matchup, but you are less likely to see them in competitive play as Tau and Eldar are painful for them. Speaking of Taudar, many of their lists will be strong against this build, serpents in particular are scary.

I second dropping the EML's to scatter or lances. Try and get dual guns on the EML lord and a sword on the other lord.

Rangers are not really that bad for their utility. Sure, a lot can just own them, but they are cheap. You can always hide them in reserves and outflank them.

Might want to get the kroot a dog to outflank. Drop in close, invoke the fire from the ethereal. and dakka away.

Aye! I'm a long term DE player with a lean to venom spam. And if I was drawn against this list with DE I'd think it was Christmas time.

I will take on board you guys comments about the wargear for the wraithlords & mix it up a bit for some more of my practice games - one thing I've noticed about you craftworld types since I started playing them as primary and not just allies - nothing divides eldar players more on a personal level than wraithlord & war walker kit outs!

Also, from a mechanics standpoint, consider Iyanden, the Warlord Traits table is absolutely monstrous on the Avatar.

Eldar heavy support slots have always been critical, and once you hit 1k it is virtually required to max them out. This is the part of our codex that can deal heavy damage and actually take a punch, so it matters what you do.

Also, forgot to suggest a wraithforge stone. From the iyanden supplement, it can heal your lords or knight on a roll of 3+, making them near impossible to kill. Not cheap, but if you have 2+ wraith units it is all but required.

I haven't yet looked at the Iyanden codex, but will check it out. I have heard that the warlord traits are significantly better, which is good as one of the few real downfalls of the Eldar codex is the warlord traits - they are megapoop.
