I just got the CSM codex...and I find it utterly confusing. I play orks and their much older codex is easy to understand. This new csm codex has me scratching my head. I'm trying to build a Chaos Lord of Nurgle. So, at its base it is 65 points. Then I can take as many melee weapons, ranged weapons, chaos rewards, special issue wargeer, and chaos artifacts...for free? I'm just reading it as its written. It say alternatively I can equip Terminator armor for 40 points. The language being used indicates that the first set of options is free. I know this can't be the case, but I'm just reading literally. Can anyone help me understand how many items I can equip and the cost please?

That way,then left

You have access to a certain number of lists, those are found a few pages before the army list itself and give you the costs of the items.

If my Eldar codex is anything like your book, the lists of options should be right before the beginning fo the HQ listings

I have the iBook version so can't give you page numbers I'm afraid..
But they're definitley not free. The Melee Weapons, Artifacts list etc should have the costs listed.

there is a wargear page with the costs of all the listed items before the HQ section starts.

I don't care what you say. I found a lightsaber in my garage and that makes me a Jedi.

One thing to watch for - some of the entries state that you must trade an existing weapon for one that's on the list. So you're limited in that way.
