Just got a Fresh set of kits for assembling and playing with kit-bashing and general foolery. Got some Dark Angels Veterans and a bot a Chaos Warriors from WHF

Was hoping that people could give me some tips on how to paint the robes white without ruining them (I don't work with white paint that often and the last time I did... it was the last time).

Anyone have helpful tips or images to share?

Thanks in advance

If you haven't got GW's Ceramite White then get some.
I was really impressed with its coverage.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Whatever you do don't use straight white. You can't highlight white it's already white.

Get an off-white or bone color. P3 Jack Bone is often my go-to paint to start "white stuff"

After that you can highlight/shade and play around with the white to make it really pop. If you base the whole robe in white you wil have big blog of white which you can shade but not really highlight.
