So we just finished the first round of our escalation league and I am trying to decided on what to field for the next level of points. Below is the list that I brought for 500 points.

HQ

CCS -- Lascannon, 2x Plasma, Chimera - 155pts

Troops

Vet Squad - 3x Plasma, Lascannon, Chimera - 190pts

Vet Squad - 3x Melta, Chimera - 155pts

Total: 500pts

So I am kind of flip flopping for what I should bring at the next point level which is 750 points. Basically I wanna know what you guys think would be the better option from the list below

1. Bring 1 LRBT and 1 Medusa

2. Bring 1 LRBT and 2 Griffons

3.Bring 1 LRBT and 1 more Mechvet squad

4. Bring 2 Griffons and a Mechvet squad

5. Bring 1 Medusa and a Mechvet squad.

Currently I am leaning towards option 2 just because that adds 3 tanks to my list, and I like tanks. Also it gives me good crowd control with 3 large blast templates coming down. If there are other options that you think might be viable please let me know. I should also mention that I can not take fliers at this point level so my vendettas have to sit on the sidelines for now. Also the units I brought in my original setup must stay although I can swap out upgrades including the chimeras if I want.

of those options I would go for 2 as well. Another option (if you have the models/proxies) might be to drop the CCS for a lord comissar and add him to one of the vet squads. Then you can use the extra points to update one of the griffons to a basilisk to get some more AP3 without line of sight.

Yeah, option 2 looks the best bet, as otherwise you are a bit light on anti-horde.

That would be nice but unfortunately since this is an escalation league I have to keep the CCS.

Looks like there are a few votes for adding 1 more mechvet squad with the LRBT, anyone want to make an argument as to why they think that is better than adding the 2 griffons?

I say LRBT and two griffons purely for the anti-horde which will stop the ever-present threat of orkz. We rock the low points with sheer bodies. And then you got your LRBT for popping more infantry, especially those with 3+ saves.

Effectively you will have one Pi-plate for MEQs and two for GEQs. The anti-tank is fine for 750 points. This will make a decently rounded list.
