This is my first time at posting, so be gentle.
What do you think of this list? It is a Mono-tasked army designed to combat hoards at peak efficiency. I need input on it to determine if it is truly as effective as the Mathhammer suggests.
*Please note I shall be working in conjunction with a Elder player for most of my battles, his list will be included.

First, Welcome to Dakka.

You are going to have serious trouble against anything vaguely mech. I know you said this was a mono-tasked army, but I think you went a little too far. If your Eldar friend had a list full of brightlances and fire dragons, I could overlook the lack of anything over S7.

Hyper-specialization is for xenos. Splash some melta or lascannons in there. All the anti-personall firepower in the world won't do anything if they are hiding in boxes.

What unit should I use to deliver the lascannons and meltas? I flinch away from devastators because they seem rather fragile when your versing an army such as Orks or Tyranids.

A quick swap without a major rewrite would be to replace some of the PCs in the sternguard with LCs, and put some melta in the tac squads.

With the new codex on the horizon, I might wait before any major changes.

Yeah, I've already pre-ordered the codex. So I'll probably just wait until it arrives before I continue on my list work. Thanks anyway though.
