A 3k list of my Dark Eldar vs Tyranids. I figured I'd share it here to see what you guys all think. Any comments and tips helpful:

How typical that the humans should rely upon crude technology to protect them.
How fitting that we, the Dark Eldar should kill them where they feel safest.

I'll tell you right now dark eldar vs tyranids is very 1 sided. I had a friend that did venom spam and by turn 3 I gave up. So target long range first after that tyranids can't keep up.

I would replace the Cronos with something more useful, namely, more venoms, more liquifier guns on your Wracks, Grots and Haemies or a Razorwing. You want to do as much as possible with templates right? I assume that's why you're taking the cronos, but with just 1 template, it's efficiency is limited. I'd also say that running Lelith, who's gonna gain TONS of attack against the low WS 'nids could be a cool way to chew through some of those hordes they'll be throwing at you. Make sure you keep the incubi out of the way of Genestealers. At their initiative and number of attacks, not to mention rending, you'll seriously be in for it.

Frankly, I wouldn't take Grots either, opting instead for more venoms, more scourges or a set of Reavers with Caltrops. Their speed will counteract the Tyranids slow as dirt march across the table AND the auto hit flyovers will take maximum advantage of their universally terrible save

Hey Penguinninja. Cool list you have there.

I was wondering what you think the role of the Ravagers will be, how will you play them?

Being both a Nids and a Dark Eldar player, I believe that lots of Poison shots is better for the MCs than Lances. Besides, poison shots are also awesome against all the other things, Lances may not be. The only thing I see them being useful is ID versus Warriors and the DOM.

^ Yeah, DE need to take out the Doom, since it's one of the major threats against DE. A Ravager or two should be able to reliably take it out, unless the opponent is stupidly good at taking 3+ saves.

The Ravagers were for AP shots. Wound on two's, no save unless it's an invun means there's a lot of wounds just being dealt out here and there. Same as the blastborns.

more poison! take the duke to make one of those warrior boats poison 3+. replace the lances on 2 of the ravagers to disintegrator cannons (they're free and better against hordes). what are the grotesques for? imo, as a DE player, they are a waste unless you are devoting your list to that playstyle. chronos is cool, but maybe take in pairs? its pretty easy for nids to take them out with their poison...or if your opponent has FMCs, take the jetfighfighter. it's pretty good. other than that, you have the right idea going up against nids. for added efficiency, i'd drop drazhar and the incubi for more firepower and transports, but i am a huge fan of that unit myself (as i also run it, lol) and the rest of the list can honestly take care of anything nids can bring to the table. i consider more of a fun squad
anyway, hope this helps and good luck against those bugs!

Grotesques were for a fun use. I figured with two Heamonculi they could tie something up as they would be S6 on charge. With a high toughness as well they'd be an extra something for Tyranids to deal with. It would take a lot to take them out and it would be fun to have them walk across the board, after disembarking, and just taking everything that's shot at them.

I love Incubi. I don't always run Drazhar but he is fun to. It's a great unit I use against every army.
