This battle is my fun GK Flame Dread list against an Ork Battle Wagon list, in which my opponent clearly stated his intent was at a minimum to run over as many things as possible with his Deffrollas. This is my first time using Vassal to do a batrep, so bear with me. Mission was objective-based, and our friend called it "the dude". Each player had a "dude", and if the game ended with the dude near the center objective, it was worth an extra 3 points. If you could capture the other player's dude, it was worth more points as well. Also there were bonus points if one player had more units in the opponent's deployment zone. All objectives worth 3 points as normal.
Here are the lists:

Deployment:
Spoiler:
Orks deployed first, I sacrificed my aegis gun and 5 man squad in hopes of getting side shots on his Battlewagons with my Land Raider. He took the bait and lined up strong on my right flank.
Ork turn 1:
Spoiler:
As expected, the majority of his wagons went flat out toward my aegis line. One split off to head toward my LR. Lucky for me, he immobilized the wagon with his Meganobz in it (despite having the Deffrolla).
GK turn 1:
Spoiler:
I decided to chance my Inquisitor right off the bat in hopes of taking out some vehicles. I moved my LR up slightly, just enough to get my Inquisitor in range with his Psycannon. I just wanted to take out one of his wagons, and all I managed to do with 2 lascannons, a Psycannon, and a Quad Gun was shake the wagon heading toward my LR, which he promptly shrugged off thanks to the Armor Plating. I was not a happy camper.
Ork turn 2:
Spoiler:
He continued rushing toward my LR, and the Big Mek repaired the immobilized wagon. One wagon full of boyz jumped out and wiped out my Strike Squad manning the quad gun; the Strikers take out a few during overwatch and combat. Combined shooting from the Lootas and snap shots from the battlewagons took out my Paladin guarding the Inquisitor, netting him first blood.
GK turn 2:
Spoiler:
My Inquisitor whiffs casting Psychic Communion, but everything except my Soladin comes in anyway. Thanks to the servo-skull remaining, everything lands where I want it to. My strike squad came down and scattered even closer to the rear armor than I had hoped, and stuns the wagon with the Meganobz, and the Big Mek fails to fix it. the Paladins and the Land Raider only manage to immobilize one wagon (my pen dice were horrible). Combined fire from the other strike squad and the Dreadnought killed a bunch of Lootas, who went to ground.
Ork turn 3:
Spoiler:
The exact thing I dreaded occurred: he hit my LR with a Deffrolla. Even better, he exploded it. At that point, I'm thinking I'm in a whole lot of trouble. He also pens one of my Dreadnoughts with another Deffrolla, but only shakes it and he shrugs it off with Fortitude. The Meganobz thankfully took the sacrifical lambs that were my Strike Squad and he assaults and kill them, however losing a Meganob to overwatch thanks to rending Psycannon fire and unlucky dice rolls on his part. Big Mek again repairs the immobilized wagon.
GK turn 3:
Spoiler:
Inquisitor casts Psychic Communion, Soladin comes in. Soladin blasts the Orks on the quad gun with Holocaust, kill a handful. One Dread assaults the battlewagon that just spanked it, and blows it up, killing almost half of its passengers. The Inquisitor joined up with the Paladin squad for some protection, and their combined fire blows up another Battlewagon, killing a few. The Paladins then make their charge on the passengers, wipe them out with only taking a wound or two, and then consolidate toward the middle objective. My strike squad moves toward the Lootas, but their shooting is pretty ineffectual as he keeps going to ground. My other Dread mistakenly moves toward the rest of the action, but outside of Deffrolla range from the remaining wagon. This is the turn I believe I went from "sad panda" to "happy panda".
Ork turn 4:
Spoiler:
Things are a bit fuzzy for me here, but I at least remember an approximation. Combined fire from the boyz on the quad gun and Lootas only manage to destroy my twin-linked Heavy Flamer on the Dread nearest the Lootas. I believe he again manages to Immobilize his Battlewagon despite Armor Plating. Meganobz foot slog toward objective.
GK turn 4:
Spoiler:
Damaged Dread and Strike squad kill one Loota, who fail morale and fall back. My Paladin squad shuffles forward, shooting some of the now unprotected boyz. Soladin assaults and destroys the last battlewagon, and the Big Mek is forced to leave "the dude" behind as he failed his leadership. My other Dread flames the boyz on the quad gun to dust.
Ork turn 5:
Spoiler:
Lootas rally, as do the Big Mek, who I believe joined the remaining Boyz (I don't think I got that right on the pic). Meganobz get to within about 3 inches of my Soladin, and FAIL THEIR CHARGE RANGE with double ones. He had used his Waagh! turn 2 when he assaulted my Strike Squad. Had he assaulted him, he could have consolidated toward my Paladin squad and (maybe) taken them out next turn. Good news for me.
GK turn 5:
I forgot to take a pic of this one, but I shot up his remaining boyz and Big Mek, as well as his Lootas, and sat my Strike Squad on the objective near them. He rolled to see if it continued, and the game went on.
Ork turn 6:
Spoiler:
Nothing for him to do but shuffle toward my Paladins, and didn't get far.
GK turn 6:
Spoiler:
Hunkered down on my objectives, ran the Soladin away from the Meganobz.
GK took out the Greenskins in a tough back and forth battle! My opponent had First Blood. I held one objective with my Strike Squad, and my "Dude" was on the center objective for another 3 points (despite the Pallies not being scoring). I also had the extra linebreaker points, and I took out his "Dude".
A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio
@urza: lol, I've never actually played a Vassal game yet, haven't had time to really dig into it. I really just downloaded the program for batreps for now.
@Krug: Yes, it was a very back-and-forth game for a while there. If he had used a different unit to take out my Strike Squad in the corner instead of his Meganobz, I would have been in trouble for sure. Luckily, he took the sacrificial lambs!
