Hello. I have moved to Tokyo for studies. I live close to Akihabara. What I was wondering if you guys know a club, people or place to get some warhammer (both 40k and fantasy) games. I have searched the internet and haven't been very successful. I know there is a hobby center but it is more than an hour away. I thought there might be a good place around the Yamanote line. In Akihabara there is a decent place called Yellow Submarine. The only downside is you have to bring the other with you. You can't just come there alone and expect a game. But if I find other intressted persons it would be a good place to play at. And local GW is sure nice but the downside is that for non-beginners can only play there during special events.. So thoughts?

I'm not aware of anything very central.

There must be some players in the US bases in the Zama-Machida area.

JIGG is western orientated general games group.

You also might try contacting Sir Motor, who is a Japanese member of DakkaDakka. He is in Kanagawa.

Getting around the Kanto area is not too bad if you are prepared to ride a train for an hour or so.

I know there's a big group in Nagoya, and that there are players in and around Tokyo. Not sure how you'd go about getting in touch though.

Here is a blog by a wargamer in the Tokyo area. I discovered it by accident.
