Hey Dakka, I'm trying to figure out which list I should bring with me to a local tournament. Our Meta is fairly open in my area.
1250 Necron
Overlord - Res orb, Semp weave (rolling with immortals)
Lord - warscythe, res orb (rolling with immortals)
Lord - warscythe, res orb (rolling with immortals)
Destroyer lord - Semp Weave, MSS (rolling with Wraiths to hunt out wraithknights, riptides, princes, and any other big scary unit in a list, otherwise taking targets of opportunity that knock)
10 Gauss immortals (General purpose troop for flaying armor and capping obj)
10 Gauss Immortals (General purpose troop for flaying armor and capping obj)
10 Tesla Immortals (Possibly used for any light flyers that show up, otherwise I'm not sure whether to keep these on my home objective, or advance onto forward objectives)
2 Anni barges (anti air, general bad ass heavy support)
3 wraiths - 1 coil (Skittering around with my Dlord)
----------------------------------------------------------
1250 Eldar - Iyanden lists
Mech'd up
1 Spirit Seer - Voice of twilight and a random psychic power
5 wraithguard
Wave Serpent - Holo fields- Scatter lasers
5 wraithguard
Wave Serpent - Holo fields- Scatter lasers
5 wraithguard
Wave Serpent - Holo fields- Scatter lasers
5 wraithguard
Wave Serpent - Holo fields- Scatter lasers
Wave serpents are my anti air. Depending on opponent, I'll either rush up first turn and sit through a round of fire, then jump out and do the wraithguard shotgun dance all over someone. Option 2 is kiting my opponent around and pop shields on his units for most of the game if they don't have enough anti armor.
----------------------------------------------------------
My 3rd option is
1245 - Foot Wraiths
1 Farseer - Guardian Helm, spear of Teuthlas
1 Spirit Seer - stone of Anath'lan (voice of twilight on this guy)
1 Spirit Seer
10 Wraithguard
10 Wraithguard
10 Wraithguard
Walk -> run -> warp shotgun anything within 12 inches away. I haven't found a list that can put enough damage out to remove a full unit of wraith guard before the end of a 6 turn game. Let alone 3 units of them out the few dozen games I've had this on the table top. This is including double riptide and triple hell drake lists. This walking list is the army I'm most familiar with so far.
What do you guys think of these 3 lists? I'd like to bring the most effective list out of all of them. The Necrons are my least familiar list, but I have a very good handle on how to use them so far, so I'd love to hear what you think about them in particular.
Edit: Typos
