I have been having a hard time beating the new eldar with my nids. Their rending shooting seam to make swiss cheese of my MC. Or it is the wave serpent spam of 4 or more that I have a problem getting them out of the box. Has anyone been having luck against the new improved eldar? If you are how are you doing it and with what!

Mob them.
Eldar don't hold up well against assault.
You've got to catch them first, so they need corralling. Outflank or deep strike where you can, but hunt them down.
Or, use lots of gunfire. Being T3, almost anything will wound them, and their saves are usually 5+ to 3+.
Use templates if you can.

I have tried to swarm the board with troops but the rate of fire they have cut down MC and little ones alike.
Getting iron arm helps but is no help vs rending shots.
Handling the wraith-knight is another problem. He makes short work of a trygon or tervagon. With 5 attacks he clears out small stuff in a round or two of fighting.

In all fairness Eldar are the top tier codex at the moment so don't feel bad if you're having a hard time.
Serpent Spam is a hard hard matchup because they shoot good, they move fast, they have wraithknights that's can tarpit anything you try to assault the serpents with.
It's a pretty sorry state of affairs.
Nids will have a new codex before the end of the year which should balance things again.

I don't have a Tyranid army, but I do play Eldar now. I think the best bet is to use a lot of deepstriking or infiltrating units like Genestealers, Trygons and Mawlocs. Maybe consider a Flyrant with a Heavy Venom Cannon? I'm no expert, but I'd say you would have a better chance with a list including more of those units.

Don't forget that you still get cover saves against Rending. Try to use cover as you advance, or if it fits into how you play, put expendable Gaunts or similar between your MCs and the Eldar as a screen. That way anything shooting the MCs through the Gaunts gives you a cover save from that.
Unfortunately, I believe the Serpent Shield ignores cover anyway so you're going to struggle there. Prioritise these as targets, but not being too familiar with the Nid Codex, I'm not sure what you could take that'll reliably neutralise them.

Iron arm works well tell you get doomed and the reroll to wound with rending shots. That instant death flamers and 10 ap2 guns that instant death as well is rough. lost both trygons to instant death with full wounds the turn they came in. The blade storm rule I have found to be brutal.
The serpent are just a pain to lock down for assault. They simple stay out of range f the hive guard and then shoot them down.
Dealing with the wraith knight is something else. The trygon can't take him in combat and the tyrant just dies with only 4 wounds. I have tar pitted him but that works so-so. The one I face has a sun cannon that twin linked taking out my small bugs before I can get it.

Try out a Tfex. Not only is it incredibly resistant to the S6-7 shooting of serpent spam, but it wipes whole units out in a single acid spray. They are pretty much required to rend the thing to death, and the only things that can put out that many rends are infantry, its main prey. If needed it can also melee vehicles down nearly as well as a tervigon.

If the Hive Guard can get in range that will knock out the 4+ cover saves Serpents will be claiming every turn. On average you are looking at 2 HP gone with 3 Hive Guard.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

As a seasoned (can I say that without sounding full of myself ?) Eldar player I can look back at many of the games I've played and recall with at least some clarity why I won or lost the bulk of my games. In the case of Tyranids... You need to remember that for every strength the Eldar have, they also face a weakness. Having Wraith units is great against maries such as Space Marines and Chaos, even against IG and Orks. But Tyranids can bring more poisoned weapons than most other armies, and that cuts away the biggest strength of the wraithlist. Never underestimate poison.

So far, I've netted almost all of my Waveserpent kills with Gargoyles w/ adrenal glands. Spawning gaunts and 'flinging' them forward into assault has also worked.
The doom is pretty powerful... I once locked up a wraithknight and some wraithguard with a big gargoyle unit and parked the Doom 6" away... It was the first time that wraithknight had died, according to my opponent.
I haven't played super optimized lists... but so far I'm undefeated against Eldar with my nids. Currently my list is:
Swarmlord
1 guard
3 pyrovores in a pod
Doom in a pod
3 walking zoanthropes
2 Tervigons with all the upgrades
20 gants
25 gargoyles with all the upgrades
Firestorm Redoubt
Debating about dropping a pyrovore to get a biovore to sit in the Redoubt.

The units I hate facing as Eldar against Tyranids are:
- Multiple Tervigon: excepting a lucky Distort wound they are incredibly durable. Add the threat range of spawning gaunts that can tarpit my assault units or charge my short range infantry and they are always a headache.
- Ymegarl genestealers: my regular opponent uses them mostly as an anti-wave serpent unit.
- Doom of Malantai in spore pod: that guy is just crazy.
- Flying Hive Tyrants with devourers: these guys will wreck infantry as well as our AV10 and with their mobility have a decent chance of getting rear armor of wave serpents as well (or just blow ém up in assault).
Hope this helps.

I might have more to learn but as primarily an Eldar player, I can pretty much guarantee a win if I -don't- get in close combat.
Pretty much all of the Eldar close combat specialists have all of the following that makes it tough for me to use:
Squad size max 10 (All)
Poor saves (Harlies and Banshees)
Slow to reach combat (All)
No assault vehicle ability (see above, All)
Too many points for not many attacks (Wraithblades)
I like Fire Prisms to get rid of MEQs out of cover. D-Cannons for S10 AP2 blasts. War Walkers with either Scatter Lasers for massive amounts of shots or, Bright Lances to get rid of 2+ or to overkill that damned Land Raider. Serpents to ignore cover at range, oh yea? Lootas? yea screw your building! Serpents and Fire Prisms can harass the enemy at range too. Spiders because Spiders; seriously 95 points of these guys have ALWAYS made back their points, usually in a single volley.

My last game with Nids was against SW. Not quite the same but...after dropping the Doom in the backfield, he quickly capped out at 10 Wounds. And then proceeded to blow up a Land Raider.
There are a few ways to take out Serpents:
1. Hive Guard - get in range you are looking at 2 HP gone per turn (on average)
2. Zoanthropes - If you can get Puppet Master, those Serpents will take out each other. Conversely, 3 Warp Lance will do (on average) 1 HP, but has the greatest chance of blowing it up.
3. 2x Devourer on Flyrant. 12 TL shots on rear armour, on average, 3 HPs gone and it is wrecked.
4. Assault - if you can get the Doom, CC-oriented Tervigon (which is how I run mine), or any other CC-oriented unit close enough to charge, you will be abe to do a lot of damage.

I'm an Eldar player, and deepstriking Zoanathropes give me the most trouble for my troops. As for wave serpents I'd try to corral like someone said above. You'll need something fast to keep up, how about Raveners, they move fast and in CC they can shred a Wave Serpent. Just some extra ideas.
I don't agree with outflanking/inflitrating genestealers as thier close proximity works against them in the first 2 turns. They tend to be the only thing Dire Avengers and guardians can shoot anyway so they end up getting pounded.
The Doom is good however I have seen him Instant Deathed so many times it isn't funny any more. I feel for Nid players who use him and fail a BL save and watch a 7-10 wound critter go by-by.
