I was just wandering if FW ever planned on releasing a model for the Emperor as part of their Heresy line.

I think it would be cool to release a model of the emperor, would also give a chance to expand upon his fluff (I mean, it's a pretty lazy fluff with hardly anything known about his origins)

I think thats mostly deliberate. The Emperor is meant to mysterious and unknown. He is apart from, yet still a part of, humanity. Its more interesting to have lots of theroies and discussions about his origins, dont you think?

As for whether FW will make a model, I doubt it. I think itd be too hard to make it work as he is so powerful.

I'm pretty sure FW have said a model of the Emperor is coming towards the end of the heresy line, ie. when they get to the siege of Terra. I think they will get most of the primarch models out in the first 4-5 books, as between Betrayal, Massacre, Calth and Prospero I think they cover all of them.

So after that is when I expect them to do the 'second-gen' primarch models, more chaosy for the heretics and potentially different options for the loyalists, and I imagine this will culminate with the release of Emperor and Chaos Horus.

They did say they'd be doing an Emperor model. It was in one of their interviews or press releases around when HH:B was coming out, Paradigm hit it on the head.

Emperor is coming as others have mentioned. The model will be one of the last to be released as the emperor's appearance didn't really change during the heresy. Also it is a great way to complete the line as he is the most iconic character in the 40k universe.

Why does everyone think the Emperor is sooo powerful? There was a story were he darn well died at the hands of a Ork Warboss. Yes he was the head cheese and had the best of the best equipment but he was not all that and a bag of chips. Heck the only reason he beat Horus was because Sanquinus had damaged Horuses armor before he got there.

That was no ordinary Warboss... it was one measurably many times more powerful than any known Ork today, even Ghazghkull. Horus was also already a Primarch and then pumped up by all four Chaos Powers at once - compare Abaddon to a standard Chaos Lord and that gives you a rough idea of how much stronger Horus became as a result.
Also consider how easily any of the Primarchs would squish Ghazghkull one on one...

Keeping some factors of the background murky doesn't equal laziness. He's functionally a god, his background shouldn't be explicitly spelled out. As for a model, it'll happen with the Horus Heresy stuff. I feel like they'd have to do him last since everything would pale in comparison afterward though.

I would like that to considering no one knows his name and the fact he was Born in 8bce in turkey ( Anatolia ) fails to be remembered that and how does this giant man stay hidden ? That Nd why is he so anti theist when he lived along side Jesus and the prophet Muhammad so what happened?

The Emperor better be one fething epic model, lol.

The oldest information given on the Emperor's origin relates that he was born to mortal parents in the 8th Millennium BC[3a] manifesting his powers as a youth. One account of the Emperor's origin goes so far as to say that he had mortal brothers and sisters and details the time and location of his birthplace - eight thousand years before the first millennium, in the region of Terra then known as Central Anatolia. This account also claims that the Emperor's birth, while a natural process, was actually the result of a scheme created by the wisest and most powerful of living humans at that time; the conclave of Shamans. Special Rules:

"I win" At the start of the game roll a D6. On a 4+ you win the game. If you opponent protests, give him a back hand slap and yell "I'm the Emprah, bitch!"

Didn't see that one coming: If your opponent has Horus in his army, randomly give him 1/3 of your total army units (round up). You must then take a nap and/or plug your eears and say "I can't hear you nananana!" For the first four game turns.

Because **** you that's why: The Emperor has a 1+ re-rollable invuln save that he may take against D weapons.

Terrible Father: If your army includes any Primarchs. roll a D6 for each of them. On a 3 or lower that Primarch falls to Chaos and is now part of your opponent's army, provided your opponent shouts "I hate you dad!" in the most emo voice possible after each roll.

Might of the Emprah: Once per game, on any turn including your opponent's, you may invoke the might of the Emprah. To do so, simply jump up on the game table and start stomping on models, shouting "For the Emprah!" with each stomp. You may do this for one minute or until you're pulled off the table, whichever comes first. Any model's destroyed by your stomps (up to and including titans and gargantuan creatures) are removed from play, no saves of any kind allowed.

Many years ago they created a Diorama of the Emperor and Horus for White Dwarf. To my knowledge this is the only model of the Emperor GW's ever done.





A little old-fashioned now, but still totally awesome...
