Hey guys quick question, does anyone know of anything that can be easilly gotten that basically melts the plastic glue that holds models together? I have recently built some models that I would like to break down and rebuild and was wondering if there was a easier way that trying to rip them apart as they might break

Not that I am aware of good sir. The glue it self actually melts the plastic together.

The plastic glue is gone, you now have the parts molten together. If you break them apart, you risk that something is badly deformed.

You are better of deliberately cutting the parts apart with a hobby knife, since that gives you the control. For thick joints, consider using a hobby saw. Make sure you use a proper hobby saw with a very thin cutting width. That way you are not missing a lot of material and can either glue it back together or patch it with putty/green stuff.

I just ripped the piece of the model, it wasnt anyhting big just some shields on some mantic dwarf models. Prob shoulda put that in the OP but ahwell its late(ish).
