Since I've finished with the main writing of Aetherverse, it's time for me to start getting the word out about its existence and my plans for its future. To that end, I need to get reacquainted with what wargaming news sites and blogs are out there for me to talk to. Obviously I'm aware of Dakka, but beyond that I've not really paid much attention to what's out there for probably a decade.

I've been doing some Googling, obviously, but I've always found that asking the community can often find places that don't really show up on the radar there (or more likely just don't show up because my search terms suck). So, please share what sites you go to for news and other wargaming-related talk, no matter how obvious or popular it might be. The only ones that I can think of off the top of my head are TMP and BOLS, so don't worry about mentioning them. Beyond that, though... go for it. Just read the thread first to make sure someone else hasn't already posted it.

Thanks, Dakka.

Tabletop Gaming News is a part of CMON (Jason, the guy that runs the site also works for CMON and does advertising for Ravage Magazine) is a good site, lots of exposure, and will make posts about stuff, free of charge (I believe don't quote me on that).

Beasts of War might give you a little bit of a news article, but idk.

Lead Adventure. Not so much a news site as a forum, but there's alot of focus there on games that are not GW. It is however a bit UK-centric, if that affects your marketing plans.

It's just that due to where most of the miniatures manufacturers are that it takes on a UK centric focus.

I get mine from TTGN and LAF.
They cover all the new shiny, regardless of from where it comes.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Yeah, it's a " .de " site, but have you looked at their market boards? Almost everything seems to be in pounds sterling. Not having looked at their stats (assuming they are available somewhere) I could be wrong about the overall makeup of the members, but I made my judgement based on what I was seeing on the market.

Regardless, for the OP's purposes it does seem to focus on folks from across the pond so whether it's UK or EURO, it's essentially the same shipping and distribution issues for the OP who has weigh whether he wants to try to sell and ship his stuff across the ocean.

If you do decide to market to folks o're the sea, it's probably a must to at least look into some kind of presence there. It's a very nice forum.

At the moment, I'm not particularly concerned with *selling* anything, just wanting to start getting word out that the game exists. The game's free, so I don't have any particular reason to segregate where I get traffic from other than the obvious language barriers making it difficult for me to do so myself.
