Hi, my name is Patrick and I am a longtime lurker on Dakka Dakka. I joined in 2009 and I only ever posted when I started taking up war gaming again and was in a trading phase, but have never really participated in the community, just reading threads. I've done some stuff on the BnC but this seems like a much more diverse and vibrant community.

I live in Central Florida, in the Kissimmee area. I've been a gaming enthusiast for about 14 years now, starting at age 11 with card games and leading to a crude Ultramarines "army" once I wandered to that side of the game shop. I've had off an ons in the hobby, depending on personal life and what video games currently have my interest. Up to this post I've mostly been buying models or second hand stuff, getting it all painted and then selling it off for a new project. My main draw to the hobby is the story and lore behind the game or force I am currently working on, I like to make sure I build and paint competitive stuff, especially for 40k, but I always make sure it is thematically appropriate and makes sense.

I'm currently gearing up to do a Heresy era Word Bearers army to use with the Horus Heresy books and the Chaos codex, which I am hopefully going to start at the end of September when I can order in some airbrush paints. I have plans for that to end up as a company or two, while I am also going to be doing a small Death Guard (My originally heresy era army idea, I just think that the white will be too boring for a long term project.) of about 1500 points. I also had about 80 points of LoE I sold, I loved the look of them and the way they played on paper, but after seeing the new Cyriss jacks and the huge robot, I will probably do a group of them in future. Also planning on selling my current group of Malifaux Neverborn metals so that I can start from scratch with the new plastic kits.
