Blood Angel Captain Wracked with Visions

Hi there Dakka. My wife and I are headed to Dallas in a month with her brother and his girlfriend to watch a college football game. I think that we have a day to go wander Dallas and see the sites so I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what we should see, where we should eat, where we should avoid etc.
Thank you

Famed Warhammer 40k Community scammer Daniel Mandelbaum lives in Dallas, I'm sure he'd appreciated a visit.*
Um... Sasori and a few other Dakkanauts might be better on what to do in Dallas since I've only been to Houston and my parents lived in El Paso for a few years.

Part of the reason for the trip is that it's my wife's 40th, so I'm not so sure she'd appreciate me stopping by to say hi to him

Check the temperature before you go. Its still hot as hell but the weather is breaking. It could be cool (for us) or baking like the surface of the sun.

We're already stalking weather.com Before I moved over 65 was a warm summer's day, I've had to get used to days in the 90s since I left Ireland behind

So pack shorts and drink lots of water. Between the accent and shorts I'm sure I'll fit right in

Cotton Bowl? Don't stray too far from the bowl or the DART stations; it's kind of shady. Texas State Fair should be going next to the Cotton Bowl, its worth a pass just to see what people are capable of deep frying. The 6th floor museum in the former Texas School Book Depository (building Oswald shot JFK from) is interesting. There's also an art gallery the floor above, but I don't if it's still there since the museum took over the 7th floor. Dallas city hall was OCP headquarters from Robocop. I'm from one of Dallas's suburb cities so I can't really comment on the food.
