I have a escalation league coming up, and the first part of it is 500 points. I don't have enough space for both a chieftain with a BRB and a Wizard Warlock, and both are quite important, so I'm not really sure which to pick...I have slightly different armies for both as well seeing as the point cost are a little different. I am fairly new to Skaven and Fantasy in general as well, so I'm not to sure how these things work out.

500 Point (W/ Warlock)

Hero:
Warlock Engineer- 120
Wizard Level 2
Warp-Energy Condenser

Core:
39 Clan Rats- 238
Musician
Standard Bearer
WarpFire Thrower

20 Skavenslaves- 52 points
Slings
Musician

Rare:
Warp Lightning Cannon- 90

500 Point (W/ Chieftain)
Hero:
Chieftain- 72
BSB
Halberd
Chieftain- 47
Halberd

Core:
39 Clanrats- 238
Musician
Standard Bearer
Warpfire Thrower

20 Skavenslaves- 52
Slings
Musician

Rare:
Warp Lightning Cannon- 90

Yendor

Your BSB is disallowed from being the General, so you therefor would need to field two characters if you wanted to include a BSB. So your second list is illegal unless you can fit a Lord level character in for ~115 points.

Close to Maddness, Far from Safe

I like the second list better, maybe drop those Stormvermin for clan rats, you'll get alot more and at this point level its important.

Check out my little ork story I am working on here!

Yeah, and they won't be able to do anything. Since you're so limited in your offensive potential, I'd be hesitant to drop those WS4 S4 models. There's just not that much that you can bring to threaten your opponent, otherwise. Especially when your only other sources of killing power are in magic and Skaven war machines...
