Much like the title says anyone know of any good Wargaming groups in Suffolk?

I know that there are GW stores in both Norwich and Ipswich (the latter of which appears to game on a Thursday and has really odd opening times!). I know there has also been and I've got to confirm if there still is a small group that plays in Beccles - anyone know of any others dotted around?

Awaiting mod approval at the legion portal so I can read the details - thanks Gangreen - out of interest what is the reason that you only meet once every two weeks?

I've signed up to their site but not really jumped in yet - I've still got to put my Slaanesh army together (my current primary focus) so didn't want to rush in yet (though I do have some other armies like Warmachine that I could have taken but - eh - I'd like to at least get them undercoated before I appear).

There is the GW store in Ipswich that I'm heading down to check out on Thursday (I should have some stuff built by then) and there's a local club in Beccles that runs on a Thursday in the church community centre in the evenings (the toyshop in Beccles - that also stocks Warhamer - knows the place and times better than me).

I've heard rumour of clubs in Norwich (honestly its much more vibrant there than Ipswich so I'd be shocked if there isn't an active group) and they've also a GW store up there which should have a gaming night (of course the challenge with Norwich is finding your way around there ).

Theres still a gaming group at Lakenheath on a Thursday night don't know dates as I've moved away but they're a good bunch of people

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

There are several places to wargame in Norwich, in addition to GW:

Bit late on the reply to this but there's also East Coast Wargames Club in sunny Lowestoft.

We meet on a Friday evening and mainly play WFB and Bolt Action but other games include Dropzone commander and Flames of War.
Warmachine and a few others have also reared their head too.

Just do a facebook search for us.

Dave.
