We have an upcoming 1500 point tournament that I'm debating taking my Raven Guard too. The Tourney format deducts points for spamming anything but troops. And I want to make an honest attempt at discovering whether or not there is any way to get some use out of the new Vanguard Vet rules. I could always ally them in with the BA dex, along with a Div Libby. But for now I want to go the route of just allying within the SM dex. Tigurius gives me Divination, plus the Ultra CT's are good to drop pod Tac's. Five pods lets me bring the Stern w/Tigurius, Asst, and one of the Tac's in first turn while infiltrating Shrike and the VV's somewhere close but safe. Hope to go second.

Primary Detachment - Ultramarines
HQ- Tigurius
Elite- Sternguard Squad (5) 5x combi-melta's, pod
Troop- Tact Squad (5) combi-melta, meltagun, pod
Troop- Tact Squad (5) combi-melta, meltagun, pod
FAtt- Asst Squad (5) sgt w/mb, 2x flamers, pod
HSup- Storm Raven, MM, AsstC

Allied Detachment - Raven Guard
HQ- Shrike
Elite- Vanguard Squad (5) packs, Sgt w/mb, relic blade, storm shield, 4 x twin lightning claws
Troop- Tact Squad (5) combi-melta, meltagun, pod

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...
