All,

Just to give you a heads up. I've been trying to download the new Space Marine Codex for about 4 hours now with no success. Apparently, most if not all of GW Products on ITunes are having downloading/operating issues across the board. After speaking with others about this and them in turn speaking to ITunes Support....they are redirecting us to GW for an accurate answer on this issue. GW should have known the high volume of traffic this would have created launch day but, hey what can a Wargamer expect these days?!?!

I fail to see how this is a GW problem.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

I was thinking the same thing but apparently ITunes thinks that it is their problem! LOL
Their words were you need to contact the publisher of the product....LAME

Clearly GW didn't manufacture enough digital copies to meet demand.

Don't get too excited. If you do eventually manage to download a copy of the "Enhanced Edition" you'll find that the army listing feature isn't even there! I waited until just after midnight to download my copy, had a quick scan through and couldn't find this new feature, and just assumed I was too tired, so went to bed. Having had a full look through it this morning it's simply not there!!

Mine is downloading right now. If the army listing feature isn't there, I'm going to be quite upset.

Could be due to fact, people are reported the army builder thing advertised that comes with is missing.

Yeah, my download is done and I don't see it there either.

I am not a happy camper.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ah... GW put up some update on their Facebook page saying something about the feature is currently missing because some Apple function is down and they're not able to upload the change, but that it will happen SOON(tm).

Glad to see I'm not the only one! I've been trying for hours to get it fixed.

Spent ages on the phone to Apple support - the guy originally was going to get me to to a full iPad reset and restore, until I mentioned that the issue was happening on iTunes on my PC as well. He suggested that I contact the publisher to see if it might have been a content issue, but assured me that if they couldn't help then I was welcome to contact Apple again using my support ticket number and one of their senior supervisors would help me out.

If I was more pushy, I would have insisted that from the start, but I'm willing to wait.

I just downloaded mine, and was wondering about that.

I had an email (? which I now can't find) from GW (? maybe Apple) warning me that this part of the codex was missing/faulty and was being worked on

I think something went wrong when GW tried to update the army builder bit which was missing options/full of spelling mistakes and after this update what ended up on the iTunes store was missing the arm builder entirely

but they are aware of the issue

My copy finally managed to download, right as I was giving up. I ended up making a backup of my iPad, did a full wipe and tried again, but it didn't work. So I gave up, restored my iPad from the backup...and, lo and behold, the bloody book was there.

A little disappointed at the lack of Force Requisition, but I can wait. I wonder if this will be rolled out to existing iCodices as well?
