On the whole that looks pretty good. I can't comment on the centurions, as I haven't got the new book yet (they do seem a little expensive, though), but the tacs, termies and vindi are all solid choices. The only criticism I have is the army is rather slow, consider a couple of transports for the tacs (I'd suggest rhinos). Other than that, it's good to go.

Centurions because grav cannons are quite good and I want to at least try them haha

So could I drop the scouts and have 3 razor back tactical squads instead ?

You could go with razor-tacs, but I'd prefer full squads in rhinos. While you can get the same/more firepower from the razors as from full squads in rhinos with heavy/special, but lose some resilience. On the whole, 20 tacs and 2 AV11 vehicles is better than 10 tacs with 2 AV11 and more heavy weapons. Either way, I agree dropping the scouts is the way to go.

Yeah, try the centurions by all means, I would probably rather use the 250 points for either another rhino-tac squad or even a LRR/LRC for the termies and captain, but as I say, I have no experience so can't really advise against them.

Okay then thanks dude I will drop the scouts and try the rhino Idea. At least it gives me some more mobility I suppose

I'm not sold on the Centurions, I think their range is a bit lacking.
And why the ML's on the Tactical Marines? For the same points I would prefer.. well.. anything else

I want to give them a fair shot tbh ( the assault ones no chance)
But with grav cannons and some adequate protection should be okay

And the missile launchers to give some AT other than close combat and grav guns lol what would you recommend I used to be a big fan of plasma cannons but apperntly they suck in 6th

Btw I have only played a few games of 6th so far :p

If you like PC, they are still pretty good, the only issue is that you tend to see less 2+ save units around due to eldar and tau having hard counters to them. As such, you aren't likely to see non-THSS termies in a TAC list, so the primary target of the PC is less common. They can still hurt medium/heavy infantry and light vehicles reliably, though. However, if you want more AT, then the markup for LC is justifiable, and they are possibly better than the ML, doing everything ML does but better (apart from anti-horde, but ML are poor at that anyway).

i would recomend equiping centurions like you have, but then let the sargent take lascannon, ML and omni scope. that way he can hunt vehicles while the rest of the squad takes out, well whatever the ywant

I would leave the seargent bare. A good tactic would be to have your terminator captain with TH/SS join the centurion squad providing a 3++ to the squad as he will be at the front. That way, they can safely advance up the field, get into position, and let their insane grav-cannons take some names.

Would you be deepstriking your terminators or will you be footslogging them up the board?

Necrons: 2200 Points
Orks: 3000 Points
Space Marines: 165 Points

W-L-D (Necron Primary)
26-10-3 (67% Win Rate, 74% Win/Draw Rate)

So I will just stick with plasma cannons then haha

And I could do that but I am fairly confident that 3 grav cannons could hurt tanks because am I right in thinking once you imobalize a vehicle it becomes another hull point ??

But I have 250 points to play with so I could add in a mother tac squad and give the centurions missile launchers and then they could use then against tanks aswell or use the frag missile against whatever infantry is left after the grav cannons :p

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And they will be foot slogging theory being that they will soak up some fire and direct it away from centurions ??

I like the idea of more marines, that is always something good, but I'm not sure on footslogging them as the opponent, depending on the army, will either a) take out the tacs in a couple of turns as they will be the easiest target out of the termies, Rhinos and cents, or b) will recognise the cents are the bigger threat and the distraction won't work. So more marines on their own merits is fine, but using them just as a shield for the cents is not the best idea.

I'm not sure on the exact way the gravs work on vehicles (there seems to be some debate about the effect actually), but ML is not a bad idea if you have the points, as it allows you more versatility and range, which id great in the early parts of the game.

The way me and a group of friends understand is that's how it work making 15 shots hitting on twos. Damaging on 6's with a reroll should in theory make a land raider shudder

And with the extra points I will take an extra tac squad need more boots on the ground lol

I would definitely put your captain with those cents (probably what you were planning on doing anyways) cause otherwise they probably wont live past turn 2 most games (assuming your opponent sees them as the threat they are).

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
