So, i'm excitedly tearing into the nice box awaiting me this morning from GW, and have been pouring over my 6th Ed rules, and SM Codex. I'm psyched, and long ago painted an AOBR and Space Hulk 3rd Ed... so i'm only painting/assembling my Strike-Force which arrived today from finally getting in some nice sized games...

As such one thing i'd love is cheat-sheets, cards, etc...? Maybe i'm spoiled by other games, but is there any place out there which sells things to stream-line the game a touch? I don't know... Strength vs. Toughness table on a printed card? Maybe something with unit stats or weapons stats on single sheets versus pouring over a book all the time?

Does any fan out there have any resources like this, or should I expect to have to make my own.

As a disabled guy, any chance to have to pull out and flip through the book less often while at the actual game table would be incredibly handy.

Oh and in a game specific question... How should I build this Command Squad which came in my 6th Ed bundle? Maybe i'm wrong, but from looking over my Codex, and being new and naive... It seems like they serve no purpose if they can't use special weapons, etc... Are they essentially fancied up Tacticals that take shots for my Captain to keep him alive?

Step 1: Find Copy Machine (Kinkos if you don't have a flat bed scanner)
Step 2: Open back of rule book
Step 3: Copy back of the book

There's a few pages in the back of the BRB that is pretty much the cheat sheets you're looking for.

Yeah, there are several references in the back of the main book, and most of the 6th ed codexes have summary pages in the back of those.

After that, I would say maybe type up the most common universal special rules your army uses (the things like fleet, or preferred enemy, etc.) and put those on a sheet as well.

Regarding command squads...usually people get them for some of the special wargear they can take (apothecaries for example).

best of luck and have fuN!

I understand your pain.... I suffered a brain injury at work over 2 yrs ago and have memory problems... (I worked at a prison and had a inmate smash me over the back of the head with a weapon several time)
I made copies of the back of the book to help me with the two tables...
I also use a app on my iphone called BattleScribe which helps when building your army
