I currently live in Central Florida( Palm Coast), but I may be moving back to South Carolina. Either the Fort Mill/Rock Hill area or slightly south off of I77. I looked on the GW website and there are places that sell GW stuff, but doesn't say anything about where to play. I'd hate to move and have no one to lose too. Anyone in the area?

I play at above board games in rock hill. Limited crowd there also there is firefly in Columbia and borderlands in Greenville.

Cool beans. There is only one other person I've played down here, so limited sounds fine by me. I actually started a 2nd army so I can teach my 9 year old son how to play. I'll def hit ya up when I get up there. Looking like around Christmas time.

That sounds good if you play fantasy there is also a good fantasy group as well

Haven't had the time to go play games in the charlotte area but I know that the hobbytown north east of charlotte plays 40k on the week end and "parker banner kent and wayne" has 40k games Thursday nights.

I live near Charlotte but am still checking out the scene as I just moved here.

Getting a bit OT, but what about good comic shops? PBK&W looks cool, but its a bit of a drive from Rock Hill. I won't use Dave's in Fort Mill because he doesn't do subscription/pull lists. Any suggestions?

I'm a regular at firefly. We have a very active 40k scene. Fantasy too. Along with a slew of other war games. I'd also like to plug our local con called Scarab. It'll have 40k, fantasy, flames of war, and war machine. Its in early January. Entry is $40 for 4 days or gaming.

Do you have a link to the shop and the con? End of January is my birthday so I may have some fun $$.

There is a pretty solid store called Borderlands in Greenville, not to much of a drive for you. They generally do open gaming on Thursday evenings and all day Saturday. Play everything from WH/FOW/Bloodbowl to board and card games. Also carry a huge selection of comics. Also Columbia has a pretty good scene with a few stores around.

My time up this trip is limited, so I'll probably only get to hit above board games in fort mill. Once I get up there permanently I'll do some serious exploring.

I just got orders to Shaw AFB in Sumter and I am happy I found this thread! Looks like Columbia is where it's at! I will also keep track of this thread and PM some people when I get settled in... How is the Warmachine/Hordes scene in the area? I have been playing 40K but am wanting to expand into Warmachine/Hordes. Sounds like there are a lot of gaming groups/stores in the area. I have been playing the same 10 people for about 2 years and am looking forward to a change! I am not due in there until Apr 2014 or so.... Are there any established gaming groups with Facebook pages? Thanks!

We've got a small warmachine community. Most folks at firefly generally have warmachine armies and we rotate back to it. I've heard tales that we'll have an escalation league starting soon by our press ganger. Lastly, the schedule for SCARAB is up on http://www.warhorn.com so sign up when you guys can.

Finally back in rock hill. I just got done finishing up some more space marines. Columbia is a bit far right now for me, but def want to play a few matches soon.

Any one available for a match next weekend?? Closer to rock hill the better, but would drive up to a 1/2 hour. I have a 6x4 board that I'm working on at my apartment too. Its not finished but could be used too.

GW opened a store in Greenville off of Woodruff Rd. Closer to Rock Hill than Columbia.
