When my Deadzone shipment arrives sometime in december, my space marines are going to start looking... well... short. The enforcers that will be in it are liable to be head and shoulders taller than standard squatty marines due to their truer scaling (they're actually taller than their non super-soldier compatriots, unlike
SM and guardsmen). Seeing what Alairos did with his chaos berserkers, and after reading through Veteran Sergeants 31mm space marine blog, I though I'd give this "Tall Scale" thing a try, with the overall goal of making my marines taller. I'm not quite the modeler either of those guys are, so I'm not trying for as dynamic (and awesome) of a pose, height and intimidation factor are my main goals.

So, I started with a pre-existing tech marine conversion, above

And did this to him.

And he looks like this compared to various other models (the corporation ranger is pretty much exactly as tall as a guardsman)
So, obviously, there is a lot of work left. He has gaps that need filled, and he needs a claw or grabber on his right mechandrite/mecha-tendril or whatever we're calling those these days.
But what do you guys think so far? Am I headed in the right direction? I'm biased, and I can't 100% tell if he looks like he's walking (albeit slowly), or if he should be stepping on something with that back foot. I need to get a better shot of him from the front, somehow I failed to take or didn't upload one, and its too late to go back after it tonight (probably come back tomorrow).
The plasma pistol is
SW, I know, but I think the thing on top could be interpreted as a lion and therefore be kosher for his otherwise
DA theme. The left tendril attachment is meant as a flamer barrel, and is one of the censers or incense thingies the
DA kits come with. I added microbead studs to the legs to spruce him up a bit.
Comments and criticism are welcome! Let me know what you think, whether you like it, or think I should try to do better. Any ideas for a nice pincher/claw for the other servo tendril?
P.S. the pictures are reasonably large, so if you can't see something click it and zoom in, I just didn't want to blow up people's screens with full-sized images
