Can any of you guys give me some tips?

He is a fun character, but isn't overly competitive. He loses out on to Asurman thanks to warlord traits, Karandras for sheer killyness and fights with Barrahoth for the title of best Niche P.Lord. The best ways in running him go from ludicrously expensive to mildly expensive, they are as follows in my opinion.
How I would run him is either tanking up front in a unit of wraithaxes with a spiritseer in a wave serpent. That is in the field of ludicrously expensive, but god help whatever it comes in contact with, plus the spiritseer might roll renew for more lolz (You keep the bonuses from losing the wound, even if it is restored!). Others go by a unit of 20 storm guardians with 2 fusion guns, warlock and possible spiritseer or a unit of 10 with 2 fusions and a warlock/spiritseer in a wave serpent are at the lower end of the price range. The other funnier option is a unit of 5 harlequins with 2 fusions and a shadowseer running up field shouting ''You can't see me! You can't see me!''.
What does fuegan bring to the table?
3 2+ FNP wounds.
4 strength 5 AP 1 armourbane attacks.
2 BS 7 melta Pike shots
Fearless
Can splitfire
For his points you could take a laughing Autarch who is more tanky (In shooting at least) or 2 base farseers spamming powers. So Fuegan is a fun character, treat him as such. My Fav way to run him is in the Wraithaxe unit as my one has not once been killed (Well, once it was reduced to just Fuegan, but he still kicked butt!) and always makes a HUGE distraction. Worth its points, maybe not. Fun? YES!

Thanks for the great reply
I've begun to see what you mean Regarding the niche. The worst thing is I'm considering getting Baharroth aswell :( again though it's mostly due to the fact I play Necrons a lot and their low Iniatitive means Blind is a fun option.
I've got a unit of Fire Dragons too but it's getting them up close that's the problem.

Oh, never put Fuegan in a fire dragon unit, what would be the point in that? 5 fire dragons on there own is almost overkill on about anything, why both with a 200pt character into the unit when a fast shot exarch does practically the same thing?
Fuegan has split fire so he CAN join units that aren't fire dragons. The best units are wraith units so he gets majority Toughness or big guardian units because they benefit from fearless best.

I'm going to stick Fuegan in a wave serpent with d-scythes. Use his split fire warlord trait to fire his two bs7 melta shots at a transport, then flame whatever gets out with scythes. It should be fun, but probably not very competitive.

Won't work.
Once this shooting attack has
been resolved, resolve the shooting attacks made by the rest of
the unit. These must be at a different target and may not be a
unit forced to disembark from any Transport that has been
Wrecked or suffered an Explodes! result due to the Split Firing
unit’s initial shooting attack.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
