I was wondering if ANYONE knows anything about the status of Meow Meow miniatures.

I placed an order over two months ago and have heard nothing except for the original automated order confirmation email. I've tried responding to that email, using an email on the website, and through PMs here. Nothing.

Unfortunately I missed the 45 day window for filing a grievance via PayPal and I'm trying to find someone that either knows the people behind the company, or the people that cast for them. I honestly don't care how much of delay there is in order fulfillment, I know they're a small operation and have had health issues in the past, but I'd love to get some response, or I have to assume they've stolen my money.

Have you seen the notice on the site about how they have been closed due to I'll health, but have reopened?

I'm sure you have, but worth mentioning just in case.

Yes, that hasn't changed in months. I had heard about their figures, but they were closed. When they 'reopened' I placed an order.

Although I generally advocate trying to resolve the issue, if you call paypal directly and inform them of the dispute they will usually investigate and make a ruling.
It would be worth a shot since you haven't received a response from the owners.

Okay, I'll give that a shot. Kind of a last resort situation I guess... I was under the impression that PayPal only handled disputes within a 45 day period, but it's worth a try.

I'd be fine if Meow Meow emailed me, said there was an issue, it would be another month, whatever is fine- just as long as there's communication.

So many companies just don't seem to get that staying in contact is extremely important, even if you're conveying bad news.

And, close your webstore if you're not open for business!!!

Where is Meow Meow Miniatures located?

I can't find that info on their site, although I would assume the USA since their store currency is default set to USD.

When I ordered my mini early this year I had to wait an extremely long time for it to show up. Six or so weeks I think it was because the casting takes super-long for some reason.

they just closed their web store. It appears they are permanently closed

It's too bad, I liked their stuff.

I just hole that whoever has ordered/paid gets their stuff...

Sorry to hear about the problems with your order. I wish I could help but I don't have the skill or the resources to reproduce the miniatures myself; I just sculpt the figures.

The site says "If you have made an order, it was shipped on or before 9/10/13."

I know she's been working really hard to get the back orders filled with what little time she has to devote to it.

So hopefully, she filled your order and it's on your way to you now.

That doesn't sound encouraging at all. So, if you are the sculptor, are you going to take your designs elsewhere or are they no longer yours to work with as you see fit?

Not sure if you also did the female not-Commissar, but I really like the mini a lot and she does just fine in my Guard army.

That's unfortunate. Here's hoping a package arrives sometime in the next week or so.

I feel bad for Meow meow and whatever health issue plagues them.

An email of 'Hey we sent your stuff' or "Our caster is late, it will be another week' or 'Hey we lost your order' would be all I need to hear though, I'm pretty patient.

I had a package from Meow Meow waiting for me at the post office today.

I feel bad for having brought this up on a forum, but I'm guessing that's what finally got the ball rolling since I've had no other correspondence.

So, Meow Meow, if you're reading this- thanks for sending the figures, I do appreciate it. I sincerely hope that things are on the upswing for you personally, and good luck in the future.

What was the postmarked date? Before or after this thread was started?

The label is USPS Priority 2-Day Mail, and I received it on the 12th.

I checked the tracking # online and it only lists the day of the 12th- it doesn't say when it was mailed.

The label is one of the print from home via PayPal labels, and it is dated 07/29/2013. There's nothing stamped anywhere that shows an actual 'postmark date'.

I'm scratching my head on this one, I really am.

Sad to hear. Wish I would have gotten an order in.
