So I'm thinking something along these lines for regular play, but I'm worried that it doesn't have enough in terms of capturing objectives/doing all that stuff. This leads to my next option, dropping the Molotok for some more guys who can do objectives.

I know I've left one group with almost no orders, but the dozer will simply be working towards objectives and 'adhesifying' something if the opportunity comes up. I was considering putting the Intel in this order group instead, but I'm not 100%. Because of the link team (which I'm pretty keen on using) I am struggling to think of how to divvy up the link teams better, and without losing any of the models that I really like (which is, well, all of them barring the Akrylat, but I'd use the male dozer for that because I reckon its a better model)

The Dozer in second group won't be doing anything. Nothing at all. With just one order you really can't do objectives.

Just drop the Dozer and upgrade the other dudes.

If you need more objective dudes, upgrade one or both S.A.S. into Forward Observers.

Also, if you are playing YAMS, you don't need to have any specialists at all.

The thing is, the only people who can really get upgraded here are the 3rd Greys with rifles to become T2 rifles, then it becomes super obvious who my Lt is. Unless I dropped Uxia for an SAS Lt or something...

The problem with this is that then they just have rifles, and I really quite like the havoc that these guys can wreak. I do have a question on the Boarding shotgun though, since the ammo type is N/AP and it is B2, does it only fire 1 burst if I use AP ammo, or do I still get both?

B2 for normal and AP... the AP ammo just doesnt spray like the normal one does.

I find the CHA really hard to make an ITS functional list because the only engineers are the Dozers while in vanilla you get Irmandihno which are not only cheaper... but a giant crap load better. The MRRF get FO Para-Commandos and Chassuers for a whole 5 and 6 points cheaper than the SAS FO which makes a lot of difference. There are also other FO options like Zouaves and Briscards while the CHA is stuck with the SAS as its sole FO unit.

My advice would be to not use the dozer and take a few FO SAS. unfortunately as you have pointed out they lose their awesome super fun weapons and get boring rifles but they are pretty much the only viable way to do objectives. I would also recommend taking the 25pt Uxia as she is a specialist troop and can do objectives the same as an Engineer but at WIP-3

My Suggestion would be:

You have 3 units that can do objectives, 4 if you count the LT. Three of them are infilterating camo which is very useful. Another Idea could be to get rid of the Cateran and take that SAS chain rifle and assault pistol that you like, this would leave you with 6 points to spend on a Volunteer in his own combat group lol. Or maybe change the Cateran to another SAS FO as you already have a good bit of long ranged firepower with the two Grey HMGs, this would leave you with 1 point to upgrade the chain rifle SAS to the chain rifle assault pistol SAS.

Thanks for the help Nerm, I'll have a go with that second one I reckon. And its an excuse to pick up some of the rifle bodies from hasslefree! Hurray.

Those models from hasslefree are bloody awesome. I use one of their guys for an SAS with boarding shotgun and one for the SAS Sniper, bloody love the models. My french also uses one for the Chasseur sniper. A friend of mine is making a french force using mostly hasslefree models, looks awesome!

I would love to see the model when you are done painting! Are you going to come to CANCON next year?

I already have the boarding shotgun on the way. Man that is a nice model, and way more 'shotgun-y' than the current boarding shotgun model.

I'll be posting them up as I finish, I just haven't had any new infinity models since my last pledge ages ago. Soon though. Soon...And I dunno about CANCON, I'll be working full time next year since I'll be done with uni, so depending on if I can get away from work/have enough saved to pay for the trip.

The great thing about Ariadna is they're meant to look more like modern day forces, so places like Hasslefree that make really good modern day infantry models tend to have great alternatives to CB's Ariadna range.

Personally if I did an Ariadna force it would be using mostly Hasslefree stuff too.
