Hello all, I have a rather tricky request. I downloaded the 'Kingdoms of Ind' unofficial army book for WHFB and found it to be super interesting, to the point where I was looking to snag some models in this style for conversion and painting purposes (and also for fun casual games). The book features a lot of mythical creatures (beings?) from Hindu lore, tailored for a battle setting. After somewhat intense searching and browsing, I've had success finding compatible human figures, and figures that can be converted to vishkanya, naga, rakshasa and elephants.

However, does anyone know of functional models for marut, which are basically heavily armored giant...spirit things? (see http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb320/prodigyduck/marut-inevitable.jpg).

For garuda, I found some fantastic wings...but does anyone know of any good bestial (but not undead) creatures to mount them on? (refer to http://www.trinetra.org.uk/communities/1/004/007/867/121/images/4579217544.jpg)

I don't mind converting up a little, but considering I don't even know where to start with the entire figure for those two above, I'm at a loss.

Likewise, if anybody knows of some cool Indian/Tibetan/Burmese fantasy miniatures that would fit the swag and flavor of this type of army, that would work too. I stumbled on these the other day, and they are pretty awesome http://lohwand.blogspot.ca/2012/01/mara-completed.html.

Thanks in advance for any assistance; arigatou gozaimasu, gracias, etc.

PS: I should clarify, generally looking in the 28mm range, although with the mythical beings I'm sure +/- a couple mm won't hurt too much.

Why not take the official 28mm miniature by D&D Miniatures:

Aren't many Hindu deities available as small statues for religious purposes? Not intended for gaming purposes, obviously, but could be quite suitable, if you can find some at approx the right scale.

(Do we have any Hindu/Indian gamers who could comment on the possible sacrilegious/blasphemous implications of gaming with religious figurines? Different cultures and religions can have very different attitudes to such things.)
