11 a.m saturday...
Now(ish)
A Salamander (well, the Sternguard started life as Salamaders but I just couldn't bring myself to blacken the back pack or shoulder pads) and Ravenguard contingent. A renewal of brotherhood in betrayal.
Hope you enjoy. I hope to pepper the thread with more photos during the week.
Until then you can catch bigger photos on the blog

Incredible sir! I'm guessing you didn't sleep this weekend? I'm very impatient to buy the new kits - I'll be referring to your work for inspiration when I finally get my hands on them. Bravo and thanks for sharing!

Impressive, they look great especially considering the timescale involved.
Could I trouble you for a wee favour? I'd love to see a closeup pic of the bare heads from the Centurion box.

I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.
"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

They look good. After getting a box and now seeing your centurions, they are growing on me. Good job!
I will note, however, that two of those models have ironclad assault launchers, which can only be taken by assault centurions (according to the assembly instructions at least).

I wasn't a fan of the centurions from when I saw the leak, and while on the gw site they looked better but not good.
Now that I'm starting to see them with this degree of painting, and some more dynamic posing they're starting to win me over. Congrats

Amazing freaking work, as always! Awesome stuff. Simply amazing. I've been thinking about adding some Assault Centurions simply for intimidation's sake, and now that I have an idea what Salamander cents would look like, I'm super stoked. Incidentally, if you are looking to add Salamander chapter iconography without blacking out the shoulder pads (although I recommend the black, since it provides an anchor point of visual gravitas) there are a couple of options. When GW released the chapter-specific decal sheets, the Salamander sheets came not only with white icons but with black ones as well, which would work great on shoulder pads that had been left green. In addition, Forgeworld has some dandy etched brass Salamander logos, which would also look keen here.
