Give it a thinned black ink (not wash) coat over the metal stuff to bring out the detail without losing the luster. Use an actual black wash on the purple shoulder rim and between armor plates to put some darker definition in there. And think about a different color for the eye lenses. Blue is too close to purple, you want something on the other side of the color wheel to stand out, like green.
