I need a CC ally since my marines are shooter heavy

Can Space wolves potentially be an amazing ally for ultra marines due to close combat

Or should I ally ravenguard and have their awesomeness along with ultramarines

This is extremely vague....to say the least... Both can potentially be great. Whats your list? Who do you play against? Point limit? How many points into ally/ into main army? Competitive? What do you like?
