as for tactics I want as much as possible to stay around the BoF and I'm not sure whether I should combat squad or not. tactical advice and list tweaks are welcome.

btw its for a tournament with some pretty competitive players which have things like farsight bomb, DE beast rush, eldar cheese and necron wraith spam. help...

take devastation instead of fortitude .... 4 twin-linked bolter shots per bike is alot better than feel no pain and its cheaper.

also try to take a libby on a bike and make your black knights another command squad with a RW banner (hit & run)

Thanks I'm just slightly concerned about the BoD (which i should add i usually take), just because it has a 6" range (compared to the 12" of the BoD) and it makes me significantly weaker as my squads don't have FnP which is why i would usually take an apothecary which then is more expensive. do you see where Im getting at, I'm just unsure about it and I just need some more convincing because I myself was torn taking the BoF over the BoD. if you have anymore reasons please help me set my mind at ease.

also just curious, what is attractive about the telepathy, I've always just looked at bio and div with the armies I play but what powers/ roles does telepathy play, i cant remember all the powers but if you let me know how to use them i can go look up the rules, i just don't have the book on me right now.

I like the RW banner idea and if I knew more about a telepathy libby im sure id love that too, thanks for the advice but if you did have more reasons to take the BoD over BoF as I'm lost about it. I really like having FnP on my command squad

to make telepathy worth it you have to be lvl 2 ... invisibility (shroud + stealth but takes 2 charges & you cant get in C&C) and if you dont roll it there are some other annoying things.

Idk about the banners .. i normally play tri-raider with da and the banner is the end all for me - with bikes I could see feel no pain as an option but, SoD is so much of a force multiplier not to take. I would more than likely keep the flamer bikes as a full unit and around the Sod banner so they can get their maximized shots each turn (20 TL bolter shots from a unit of bikes can be make or break).

Either way I would go with the double HQ's / Command Squads ... having the ravenwing banner on another command squad instead of black knights can be really clutch.

you know what even though ill probably get slaughtered by tau and DE I'm gonna take the BoD just because that's what i have to practice with for larger point games.

you can glance venoms / ravagers to death with bolters, you can instant death stuff that is hit by grenade round, and you also have the mobility to keep up with them ... de negating T5 is going to be rough though

The worst part about de is beasts... They are scary, especially when theres two of them. But really I'm most worried about tau who with a farsight bomb can ignore cover and armour which just means ill be taking models off the board.

What happens if your opponent deploys as much of his amry as possible on the first floor of the buildings. Or you end up with an objective on the 3rd floor of a building? Doesn't that jus make it a shoot out and your lacking in number of overall shots.

I like bikes. Not sure how they work without other units in support.

Objectives must be placed on the ground floor of buildings.

I think my only bet would be melta gun in the face to the building so I can hopefully eventually destroy it.
with raven wing I think its fine to go pure bikes, pure bike lists have won major tournaments since the DA codex came out.

Personally I think divination synergizes much better. Give the libby a displacer field and every roll on the table is just nasty except of course for scriers gaze.

Tips for handling ruins in an all bike army:

1) Place your objectives on his table side to block off multi level ruins. With a fast hard hitting bike army objectives can be anywhere.

2) Use Sammy to contest/attack near the end game since he's a jetbike.
