Tournament Saturday. 1504 point limit. Limited opportunity for play testing. Would rather head into my only days of play test on Tuesday and Wednesday with a well picked apart list that wont need tweaking, just a bit of practice and dumb luck (or smart luck if my dumb luck pays off with the Farseer). I've been playing pure Dark Eldar, pretty mech, AT and AI Kabalite lists, pretty successfully too, up until Sunday, when I decided to bring some Craftworld Amigos to the table in a 1850 point game and I had so much fun with the jetbikes, the Spiders and the Farsee, I decided to include them in my list for this coming Saturday. I'd love to hear what you think. HQ Archon (1): Blaster - 75 Farseer (1): Eldar Jetbike - 115 Elites Kabalite Trueborn (4): 4 Blasters, Venom with Splinter Cannon Upgrade, Night Shields - 183 Kabalite Trueborn (3): 3 Blasters, Venom with Splinter Cannon Upgrade, Night Shields - 156 Troops Splinter Boat Warriors (10): 1 Splinter Cannon upgrade in Raider with Nightshields, Splinter Racks - 180 Splinter Boat Warriors (10): 1 Splinter Cannon upgrade in Raider with Nightshields, Splinter Racks - 180 Windrider Jetbike (3): 1 Shuriken Cannon - 61 Windrider Jetbike (3): 1 Shuriken Cannon - 61 Fast Attack Warp Spiders (5): No Upgrades - 95 Heavy Support Ravager (1): Night Shields - 115 Ravager (1): Night Shields - 115 Razorwing Jetfighter: Night Shields and Flickerfield - 165 Total 1501 Just as an aside, I've got 3 more Jetbikes AND 3 more Warp Spiders, if you can help me trim to get them in... I also have plenty of Wyches and a handful of Wracks, Dire Avengers, Wraithguard, Warlocks, Guardians and Dark Reapers as well as a Spiritseer, a Wraithlord, A Fire Prism and a Razorwing Jet Fighter. I'm expecting a pretty diverse meta, so I have no hints or thoughts on counter lists to take, so any advice you've got should come from a "Take All Comers" perspective. Thanks for the help!

I was thinking about nixing the incubi and downgrading my archon to just carry a blaster in one of the venoms with trueborn to make point space for some wracks, wyches, reavers or the Ravenwing. Pros/cons?

Looking at your list, I have a few questions. Questions really, as I'm not the kind of authority to comment on tournament lists. Hopefully I'll add to your considerations in building the list, but maybe you'll just be educating me
* What do you think the Haemonculus would bring to the table putting it where it is now? I would think the Pain Tokens aren't worth it in an already killer and small unit that is inside a transport, choosing its targets carefully, probably being fine with the saves they have on their own.
* I noticed you put the Incubi in a Raider to accomodate for the 2 HQ choices that are going into that unit as well. Don't you think it's a lot of eggs in one basket? I would personally choose to remove the Haemonculus, switch to a Venom and spend some points elsewhere.
* I feel the Archon has too much stuff. Do you think the Soul Trap is worth the points (and the trouble)?
* Where is the Farseer going to be? It looks like the only unit on foot.

Mayk0l hit the nail on the head for me. I also had some similar comments. Again, not recommendations as im not a tournament player.
I think the Haemonculus could be lost. Then id put the Archon and Incubi in a Venom.

I feel the Archon is wasted with just a Blaster. Look at his stats. The guy wants to be in CC

It looks like the only unit on foot. I think you bring up some great points. I usually bring the Haemy for 3 things. 1) to give my Archon and the Incubi Feel No Pain before their first assault. It's a security blanket to be sure, but I've been told (and seen firsthand) the value of sturdy dark Eldar, HOWEVER, I will concede that it is mostly for shaking off bolter fire. 2) to allow me to take wracks as Troops. Since I'm not doing that in this list (Windrider Jetbikes being far more mobile and survivable) that advantage is lost. 3) to give my Raider a mounted liquifier gun. After disembarking my HQ squad, I leave the Haemy in the Raider to zoom around flaming people with his inconsistent, but often AP2 and 3 template gun. It's fun, but I agree, not necessarily a competitive choice. If I drop the Haemy, I'd have points enough to put the Farseer on a Jetbike and give him the Mantle of the Laughing God, affording him a 2+ rerollable cover save as long as he moves for a turn. With that, he should be able to pace with all of the fast Dark Eldar and Jetbike/ Jetpacking Eldar. Is the Mantle too much? That'd buy me 2 more Spiders, or even a Warlock... I hear you, too, about the Soul Trap, but that has made my archon that much more survivable after winning his challenges. What do you think? Am I better off with a Laughing Seer, a Jetseer and 2 extra Warp Spiders, or maybe a footslogging seer and I could add a squad of 3 Reavers with a blaster. Don't apologize, this is my first tournament and I'm asking for YOUR opinions here. I genuinely appreciate your feedback and would love to hear more from you on the proposed changes. : I feel the Archon is wasted with just a Blaster. Look at his stats. The guy wants to be in CC I agree, but as Mayk0l mentioned, he is a bit bloated in terms of points. If I drop the Haemy and make the Archon into a virtual auto hit Blaster shot with precision, I could afford a Razorwing Jet Fighter or a Fire Prism...

If it were me I would actually drop the archon and put the haemie and incubi in a venom, a decked out archon like that in a squad of incubi will more than likely wipe out most things they charge on the first turn which will then leave you exsposed to enemy fire (and they will get a lot of enemy fire), whereas if it were a haemie you would have a good chance of staying tied up for another turn so you dont get shot at on your opponents turn.
If you do that then you'll have plenty of points to give your farseer a jetbike with mantle and maybe a small squad of wracks in reserve for rear objective holding or whatever catches your fancy.
hope I helped and best of luck at the tourney!

The Raider has 1 Strength 8 AP 2 Lance shot. The kabalites inside each have a poisoned AP 5 Rifle and 1 is upgraded to the Splinter Cannon, which has greater volume and distance. The splinter racks twin link all the rifle shots.
