I was reading through my new Space Marine codex and I cannot find a mention of Combat Tactics anymore. I assume this is replaced by the new "Chapter Tactics" rules, but I am just asking for clarifications from other dakka players in case I missed this.

Could you perhaps <innocent smile> care to quote or paraphrase the new "Chapter Tactics" rule? Is it there a general rule and then specific say... <ahem> for the Salamanders and uh... how exactally does that read? I mean if you were interested in say Flamecrafting... say... I dunno... a vehicle mounted flame weapon like on a land raider?

Dakka isn't a replacement for the codex, especially not when you make it blindly obvious that's what you're trying to use it for.

My nearest hobby shop is 4 hours away by expressway bus. I, somehow, still have a copy. Online stores are a wondrous thing.
