Hi all,

Im wanting to start BFG but the prices on ebay are abit silly (in my opinion).

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for alternative models that wont look silly on a table next to true BFG models.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Before GW came out with its own tyranid models alot of people scratch built them using left over bits. A gaunt body makes for a nice cruiser.

And orks... Well orks are ramshackle enough that a nice home made fleet shouldnt be turned away

Firestorm armada is looking promising. Scales look perfect. Any more suggestions welcome

Check the link in my signature to my design project.

Might take a while before they go in any kind of production, but I could always use your feedback.

I could see a mix of Terran ships to be stand-ins for Tau. they even have a nice differentiation from other Battlefleet Gothic ships, as they are wider on the horizontal plane rather than the vertical.

Hahaha, awesome, someone linked a picture with something I did!

The NSL and Firestorm ships in those pics are mine, the rest belong to my old gaming club.

As for alternatives, I've seen some great bio-ship conversions/scratch-builds using Tyranid bits.

Few BFG models have returned to GW European site btw - Dauntless, Cobra, Daemon Cruiser etc. Wondering if I need another Dauntless as a strike cruiser for my Space Marines....
