Sorry for the long title but Colours is coming this weekend and whilst I know what two main reasons I'm going for I need some advise about bases and who might have them.......

First up - http://colours.org.uk/ for details about the show.
Secondly I've heard that Malifaux 2 will be at the show as Simple Miniatures have got some preview copies as as I've already pre-ordered my Infinity Artbook I'm going to make sure I grab a copy of the new rules when I'm there.

I'm hoping there will be some left as I can't get there until Sunday

Bases! - Does anyone know of any traders there that will have some 30/40/50 mm lipped scenic bases I'm struggling to find suitable arcane steampunk ruins with the Malifaux style lipped edge. I also need some 25mm sci-fi for my infinity and 40K stuff too. Anyone know of a good trader that might have them on the day I'd rather see them in the flesh so I can work out if some of the more open poses will fit on the base as I've ordered online before and they just haven't quite worked out.

I'm not sure what else it at the show but it's normally a good one and the bring and buy is busy so i can sell off some unwanted projects (and unfortunately normally create some new ones!) Terrain and bases seem to be my main focus at the moment........until new shiny models catch my eye Antenociti's workshop do colours so that will be good to see if there is anything new from Jed this year.

How do you expect me to know what it is if you haven't painted it! Unpainted models are just proxies for the real thing

The best thing is to look up the Colours website and they should have a list of traders. You can work back from that to see the style of bases a particular firm will bring with them. Companies going to a big show often put some news on their own website.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Well i was gona look at the traders list and let you know thew best ones to go to, but seeing as its a MS office doc and i dont use that software i cant.
Have a look for warmill, they do laser-cut PDF scenery and is ideal for use with any sci-fi game, there other traders as well that do a good selection of terrain, but for the ife of me cant remember there names (hence want to look at the list...........lol)

Thats a lot of stands, I didn't realise that Colours was such a large show. It looks to be bigger than Salute.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Lots of demo and participation games. It has grown a lot. It was a lot smaller in the early 90s when it used to be in the Newbury Corn Exchange.

Another proof of how wargaming has expanded as a hobby, I hope!

That may have been Armageddon, or maybe the show I went to in Newbury wasn't Colours.

Thanks Fella's - As long as I get my new Malifaux 2 Rulebook and the Infinity LE mini I'll have the rest of the day to wander and ponder bases and scenery

I wish I was going but I am on an economy drive ATM.

I admire your wife and daughter for taking part in your hobby -- hopefully they may find something interesting at the show.

Have a great day!

well the wife always looks at the terrain, to see whats on offer, and my Daughter loves looking at the verious tank kits, and will probaly spend time on the armourfast stand building a tank or 2 to add to her own collection of tanks as well tring to get me to buy her more.
As for me, if i can sell all my bits at the B&B, i be hitting the warlord stand for some bolt action toys

Your 8-year-old daughter makes tanks!!!?!

My daughter just laughs at my models. I don't mind that she doesn't like them but she shouldn't make fun of them.

Well, had a good 2 days at colours, and come back with new toys, Bolt action 1000pt German army starter set, picked up the dust tactics revsed core set for £35, and 80 Mantic apoc zombies for £35, and picked up some wars kits for my Daughter to build and use with her collection of 28mm Star wars minis
