Tactics
First of all Farsight is the warlord and will join the Crisis Team with Plasma and Flamers so that when they land they hit right where I want them. Essentially this unit is meant to deepstrike in where I need them to be and then unleash upon a unit. The plasma will take care of any big guys while the flamers will help deal with any type of horde and force saves on MEQ units. After they land and burn whatever is in front of them they will jump behind some cover or out of LOS.
The second Crisis Team will start on the board and will focus on the defense of any objectives I have. If it is a kill point game then they will move in conjunction with the riptides to annihilate heavy infantry and tanks. This team will be great against most big guys and most tanks.
The Riptides will stay around each other with the Talisman lending itself to both the riptides and at least one Crisis team. Depending on the situation they will either Nova Charge their accelerators for dealing with tanks or just overcharge and hopefully get their 3++. They will rain fiery death upon bunched up infantry or will just knock the socks off of monstrous creatures.
The pathfinder squads are here for markerlight support and will be deployed in cover. They will work mostly with the Crisis Teams and Broadsides to make sure that what I need gone is gone when I need it gone.
Broadsides are a little different then I normally run. The Shas'Vre will be popping light vehicles at long range or attempting to character/special weapon snipe. First time I will be running him this way. The rest of the squad will be annihilating whatever happens to be in range with the crazy amount of firepower they can unleash. Just wondering what people's thoughts are about the Vre, have people had luck with him or should I just outfit him like the rest and drop him down to a normal broadside? Anywho, the whole unit will be deployed behind the aegis defense line for a juicy cover save.
The allied detachment was taken primarily for the added mobile markerlights. The commander is there to give them BS 5 as well as TL their markerlights meaning a lot of hits. This team will work with the riptides as they will be far more mobile than the pathfinders. The commander will be up in front of them to improve the teams survival while being able to pass of the wounds if necessary. They will also work with other units depending on the pathfinder situation.
Firewarriors are just a last ditch grab for any objectives on my side of the board.
So if you have the time to give me some criticisms or advice I'd be more than happy. Thanks all.
