To me, Sternguard became really, really expensive. I'd think you need more troops, and you could easily take two more five man squads in drop pods in place of the vet squad. Just a preference. The tac marines will be reasonably good at the alpha strike too, since you're rerolling misses with Vulkan. Actually, I think the best choice might be another full ten man, and an additional assault squad, all in pods. I like the sound of that better, personally.

Weird, I've only heard good about Sternguard, also with the fact they can take Heavy Flamers, killing tau. ALSO, where would He'stan go? to a tac squad? I'd have to drop one to 9 or use a 5 man...

Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

If anything sternguard got better.

They got a nice points drop and have access to just about everything shooty. The only thing "bad" is that they now pay full price for combis so the combi spam on them isn't as points efficient but still good imo.

Your entire army is in drop pods besides the lone stalker. You don't really need to get one when you are that far into their backfield and if anything it will die before it gets to shoot since its not on that strong of a platform

-Assault sergeant can't take a combiflamer
-Why Multimelta instead of meltagun on the 5-man pod squads?
-Stalker can start in reserve since it's the only thing not in a pod, so it's just fine, imo

stalker cant start in reserve if he goes second.....

He would auto-loose due to not having any models on the table.

False. You only auto-lose at the end of the GAME turn. So the enemy would have to kill the stalker, the pods, and the contents.

Since everything are in pods except a SINGLE tank (the stalker), he can put it in reserve because you are allowed half of your army to be in reserves, rounding up. Since it's 1, you ARE allowed to field 0 units on Turn1 (at the start of the game). E.g. - If he had 3 Stalkers, he would be allowed to reserve 2 stalkers and would HAVE to put the 3rd on the field Turn1.

In either case, he would never auto-lose until the end of Turn1. Both his turn and the opponents turn.

I like it. I think Sternguard in this case are handled well, It makes sense to bring the heavy flamers here. I might drop a few combi's here, as there's no reason to have ALL combi's, since their special issue ammo is already quite useful. Maybe here choose one dicipline - such as flamers, due to the Heavy Flamer - and then bring 2 or 3 combi flamers in addition. I'm not sure here, you seem to have balanced things out quite well.

I don't like gravs because they aren't too good IMO.
