So I like the Imperial Fists, but I'm not a huge fan of the crazy yellow they have. I put together this paint scheme that I almost used for my SW, but I think it would fit IF better. It's this scheme or Salamanders.

What you have is good, but in would go for more of darker yellow than a bright one. The bright yellow clashes with the silver a little.

Just create an Imperial Fists successor chapter and use the IF Chapter Tactics.

I have to say, while the thought of banana marines at first can seem silly...if you have seen a well painted fists army in person, they can look pretty stunning.

See if you can find someone in your area where you can see some in person...they might surprise you.

If you still don't like them...then I think your scheme is fine...you will have to to do some tests to come up with the colors that look best to you in person, but in the end, that way you will be satisfied with them.
