After a false start a couple of years ago I am finally easing myself back into the hobby after about a decade away and I'm working on a box of necron warriors and 3 scarab swarms.

The warriors are ready for basing and priming but when it comes to the scarab swarms I have some reservations.

Basically, I really don't care for the little plastic pole thingys that you're supposed to mount them on and I was hoping sombody here would have some tips for making them as discrete as possible.

I have a few bits to base my models with; sand, static grass, rocks and some pieces of slate.

Any help would be much appreciated

Pretty easy way to get rid of them is to not use them at all.

Glue/Pin them to rocks or vehicle bits to make em look like they are scurrying around.

Also since IIRC they have 3 wounds and 3 attacks base anyway, only put 3 on each base and save the extra for more bases.

3 wounds, 4 attacks according to my codex. Is it still acceptable to use to use 3 per base? I guess it would make more sense...

Eh 4 attacks? probably leave it in, even though it makes no sense to have 3 wounds
