Hi guys, I'm thinking about starting an Eldar project as something different to my Space Marines.
I have been looking around on the Internet for ideas but couldn't find too much inspiration, I'm looking for a decent list to test against my friends Orks and it needs to be fairly low in price as I just bought the new space marine kits

Well you could do a lot of different variants like: Wraithdar, jetbikes, mech. Eldar are a very diverse army. You could do something like this:

HQ
-Farseer w/Jetbike, Mantle of the Laughing God, Spiritstone of Anath'lan: 170

Troops
-6 Windrider Jetbikes w/2 Shuriken Cannons: 122

-6 Windrider Jetbikes w/2 Shuriken Cannons: 122

Fast Attack
-5 Swooping Hawks: 80

This list comes to a total of 494 points and $371 (NZ). This list has mobility and speed but does not cover anti tank or AA very well. Farseer gives buffs to jetbikes and you should be into range with shuriken catapults within turn 2. You could do something similiar but using an autarch.

HQ
-Autarch w/Jetbike, Banshee Mask, Laser Lance, Fusion Gun, Mantle of the Laughing God: 150

Troops
-6 Windrider Jetbikes w/2 Shuriken Cannons: 122

The bottom one is a really good list, but you might want to drop the mask so you are under 500pts. Nice job.

Here's a list I've been using at our 500 points league for months now. It performs VERY well.

Farseer - 100 pts

Dire Avengers x5 - 65 pts
Guardians x11 - 99 pts

Swooping Hawks x5 - 80 pts

Wraithlord w/EML, 2 flamers, Ghostglaive - 155 pts

Models: 23
Total: 499

I had that sort of idea in mind, but I didn't think of the Swooping Hawks, this list sounds great!

If you can find a way to sneak one more Swooping Hawk into that list, you can get a large blast for your Grenade Pack. Just food for thought.

In regards to your request for a "Cheap" list, you could just go Double Davu.

- Wave Serpent, TL Scatter Lasers, Holo Fields
- 5 Dire Avenger

500 Points exactly
Just over $200 (CAD).

It's not the most competitive list, but it does offer a decent amount of anti-air and anti infantry. A little light on the Anti-Tank though. And best of all its cheap and won't take long to paint!

A few changes I'd concider in this list:

1) Take one Guardian from that squad and add HW-platform in there.
2) One more Hawk in there for the Pie Plate DS.
3) EML off from the Lord.

And the DA would like the Shimmershield with Exarch to keep them alive, but that may be too expensive at this point lvl.

Or, drop the Hawks altogether, drop the EML and one guardian. Then take 5 Warp Spiders (i think they ar 19 a piece if not then ignore me)...not sure how many extra points you'll have left, I don't have my codex. if you end up with 5 add a singing spear on the farseer.

This is actually the core of a 1500pt army I'm working on - when you're ready to expand you could add a bunch of Dire Avenger squads in Wave Serpents. Also you might want to magnetize the war walker weapons, because when you've got the points to spare you'd want to replace them with a scatter laser/bright lance combo.

pretty good. i would consider dropping the shuiken cannons from bikes to free up enough points for scatter lasers on walers. then you got one mean bean list there.

That's an excellent point, and you only have to drop one cannon from each squad. Therefore it should look like:

That list would be about 350 points and could be improved.
Bigger DA squads for example.

Farseer - 105p
- Singing Spear

8 Dire Avengers - 134p
- Exarch with Shimmershield

8 Dire Avengers - 104p

Wraithlord - 155p (might be wrong). 245 left
- Ghostglaive
- Dual Bright Lance & Flamers

With 498 points this list is not the most competitive but it could do well. The 5+ Inv on the whole squad is valuable and Exarch can challenge out some SM Sgt's with 3 AP3 hits on I6. You could change the other DA for Rangers or Guardians for objective-sitting with some tailoring.

165 pnts for WL with 2 lances, and a sword.
