I'm playing through Baldurs Gate 1 at the moment (the enhanced version) and I came across a happy fellow called 'Lord Foreshadow', who I think was advertising Neverwinter Nights 2. It got me thinking, where else is in game advertising for other games present? I think Tom Clancy has it in some Rainbow games for Splinter Cell (or vice versa) in the form of posters on a wall, has anyone seen it anywhere else?

If I hazarded a guess, he was probably 'Foreshadowing' Neverwinter Nights which was in early development when the game originally released so its not quite like a coke billboard or something.
Rainbow Six Vegas II was supposed to have dynamic advertising built into it, but on PC I honestly can't remember if I ever saw any actual advertisements.

Yeah, I was meaning specifically game adverts in game, like the Rainbow one you said.

The only example that really comes to mind is as mentioned Vegas 2, which ran ads like Playboy, Lynx and other Ubisoft games (Farcry). It wasn't as annoying though and felt quite well placed, it was taking place in Vegas after all.

In The Last Of Us there is a level where you have to go though a toy store...and in that toy store are board games of other playstation exclusives such as Uncharted and Jak and Daxter.

In 3D Dot Game Heroes there's a secret room that contains avatars of the developers complaining about people bitching about the difficulty of their other games (Armored Core, Demon's/Dark Souls, etc.).

in planetside 1 in each race's sanctuary base there were huge screens on the walls that rotated through different ads.

Some TF2 servers advertise at the start of the round. I guess I'm okay with this.

Jak 2 had advertisements for Ratchet and Clank 2, and vice versa. I think that Spec ops: The Line had a (not) Warcraft ad in the shopping centre level too.

I remember Vegas and GRAW had billboards in game that I never really paid any attention to because they didn't affect gameplay. If I'm honest it was a nice change from the Panafonic boxes from Raven Shield

All the billboard ads in Need For Speed Underground, Underground 2, and Most Wanted. They weren't annoying, but were fairly noticeable, especially when just cruising around the cities.

System shock 2, with the fan patch had some quite nice ingame advertisements. Including Emirates, coke and Sony. You have to go to a few niche holes to see them, but they are there.

In one of the Command and Conquers (either Red Alert 2 or Tiberium Sun. I dont remember) there are billboards in the city advertising the game Dune.
