Anyone been following this?
I'm not a yachting fan myself but the boats they're using are amazing. The AC 72 is an absolute marvel of engineering, it doesn't even spend much time in the water, rather it hovers above it with only its foils making contact.

Haven't followed it since cats started becoming common. Monohulls or bust.

Racing with the catamarans is not traditional sailing for sure but if you haven't seen these things move through the water then check them out.
That said, hopefully they wont exist for the next cup because they're so expensive to build hardly anyone can afford to mount a challenge - it's become too niche.

Somewhere in south-central England.

That is what happened to the original J Class yachts, hence the comparison with Warhammer.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Proud New Zealander here, vaguely following the racing. Oracle seem to be struggling a bit for the most part, but there's still plenty of lead changes and a few races lost for Team New Zealand!

ETNZ need 2 more wins to take the cup home, Oracle need 8, I expect to see it back in Auckland soon.

I just wish there was a U-471, silently lurking, waiting for the time to strike...

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

U-471 never sunk anything. It was bombed in drydock in 1944. It was later repaired by the French and served in their navy from 1946 to 1963 as the Millé.

Wow, you're took that literally didn't you.

Substitute USS Gator if you'd like. I just want a sub lining up to surface in the middle of the pack, readying its deck gun for action...
