Has anyone bought any of these files off of black library? Are they worth getting? Do they have more information than what the Codex provides on these units or are they easily passable?

Here is a link to their page if you haven't seen these yet.

Now I also saw threads regarding the desire to have the codexs on a platform other than Apple. So who's gotten one of the ebook versions for kindle? Because I'd like to know before I spend my money on them.

Thanks.

If not for the mediocre who would be great, and thank goodness for those who are just terrible they make even those who are mediocre look great

I'm reading the .epub-format on my PC using the Adobe Digital Editions software. Works like a charm. I don't really think they are worth as much money as Black Library wants to have for them, though. Pretty much a collector's item, I suppose, but almost a full third of the file is "packaging" such as the cover, the credits section and advertisements, and half of the rest is fancy pictures. Obviously, this problem may be less severe with the bigger/longer files, though.

If you have the coins to spare, take a look and just order one of the cheap ones to see for yourself. At least it's not much of a loss even if you don't like what you got.

Four euros for pdf's on characters(23 pages) and one-fifty for 8 pages on a chaos weapon...

Pocket change for a bit of fluff when you think about it, but only collectors would bother with them.
