So, I was thinking that some folks might find it useful if individuals could provide any tips they have regarding the easiest ways to get extra special, and heavy weapons, while also building one's collection. As a new Space Marine player, i'm noticing, for example, that my Command Squad offers a fair few left-over options that will likely find their way onto Tactical Marines.

Similarly, others have said the new Sternguard Vets have an unusually generous pile of weapon options. Devastator Squad also, obviously, has far more heavy weapons then they can use.

Can anyone suggest good kits to buy that let me expand my army while also giving me extra bits as options for the growing mountain of Tactical Marines, I have, etc...?

For instance... Like others, I will probably want to throw grav-rifles on a bike-command squad.... but, good luck finding official grav-rifles now, outside a couple sets.

Now that the Tactical Squad kit has been recut, the only Space Marine infantry kits not absolutely loaded with extra bits are the Assault Marine kit (and even that has loads of extra torsos) and the two Scout kits. Of course, if you want specific options, you've got to know where to look - like for Grav, go to the Tactical and Sternguard kits.
