Its a not bad army. Being a guard player myself i'd rather ditch the marines and play all Guard but obviously i can understand that you dont want to. I guess if you wanted to add something else i'd add another russ (cos you can never have too many  )

For the Tactical Squads, I very much like Plasma Guns. Heavy Bolters, Grav Guns, and Missiles aren't the best, so a Lascannon/Plasma Gun Squad would be he best. The Vets have a high BS so it's better to use Plasma or Melta. I'd also get a Chimera for your Vets. Your Dreadnought should either be left out to get more points or given a drop pod and made an Ironclad w/ Heavy Flamer.

I honestly like to keep the guns as it is because I think they'll be useful during the game against certain opponents. As for the vets I didn't think I should put plasma and delta because it's a lot of points and they die quite quickly but who knows maybe I five it a try. the dreadnought I can take out put to add a chimera. And I'll have extra points any idea what to use them for? And so which army would you choose?

For sternguards of 5 men is it best to do all combi-meltasI'm only going combi so any suggestions what I should equip them with?
