Ok so im going into a tournament soon and I was wondering but can Orks be a good ally for my CSM? its just im now starting to think Wazzdakka and a biker mob would not only look good on the table but would be awesome to field, paired with some Deffkoptas (since I have no Lootas), Im not really looking too much at plague zombies as tbh I play Orks for my hoard, not my CSM, I like my differentiation in my armies. I have no idea on allies as much as I do not use them often. The point limit is 1850pts

So what do you guys think?

Orks make good allies as they offer a better fearless horde than Zombies. Good options to consider would be:

-Large mobs of Shoota Boyz (20+)
-Big Gunz: Kannons with Ammo Runts. Chaos lacks access to barrage weapons. These are cheap and effective.
-Dakkajets with FightaAce. Decent anti-air w/ lots of shots on the Waaaaagh.
-Nobz. MegaNobz in a Battlewagon are really good right now. Combi-Skorchas are good for burninating Xenos hiding in cover. Nob Bikers are still pretty good as well. Throw a Warboss in either way.
-Lootas. Lots of shots at range for cheap.

You could make a decent assault list using Lords/Sorcerer on Bike with Chaos Spawn, Flying Daemon Princes, Nobz of whatever flavor. Heldrakes/Oblits/Lootas/Kannons as a firebase. ShootaBoyz/Cultists/Plague Marines as additional troops.

Etc., etc. I'm just brainstorming here, but you could prolly make a mix of those units work.

Well, then you're going to have to keep looking because none of the Big Gunz are barrage weapons.

I'm sorry, I meant Lobba's, not Kannonz. They're still big gunz, and definitely barrage.

Lobbas are barrage, Kannons are not. Ork artillery is cheap too.

What are you running in your chaos army?

that's the thing for this upcoming tournament I have no idea what I'm Fielding... and deadline for lists is due today whoops

As far as im aware there are going to be a shed load of marines, (BA, SM, DA, maybe SW) Eldar, Daemons, Tau as far as I know
