Link: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat440249a&rootCatGameStyle=
are they now back in production or have I missed something, can someone explain to me what's going on with these kits.

It seems GW dropped the "Collectors" section and rolled those models into the regular army sections instead.
Perhaps they're trying to make them easier for people to find now?

Yeah that or their gonna make a fortune off of supplements, I was happy when I saw them but felt cheated as I shelled out £80 for my steel legion thinking they would soon be gone forever, but then I get this. A bitter sweet pill, o well hopefully we get plastics some time! At least we are back in the proper army section!

Think on the bright side, now you've got a bunch of Steel Legion! I bought all my Valhallans secondhand because metal's so easy to strip, but it's good news that these models are readily available again.

Didn't they take Gaunt's lot and the last chancers off the site a while ago? 'Cause they're there too.

I tend to dislike the Imperium, but putting those vostroyans back on sale makes temptation a problem. I love those models. XD

Vostroyans never went off-sale, they've been under the IG section for quite sometime now, even while the other IG metal models were under the Collector's section.
I'm just curious on how long it'll be before we see them replaced with Finecast versions.

As far as I know they've always been there, I hadn't checked that part of the site in a while. It could be they just moved them.

The best bit is, all these supposedly oh-so-expensive metal miniatures are a whopping 25 pence per mini more than plastic Cadians.

That speaks to how expensive the plastic ones are, not how cheap the metal ones are.

Huh?
In Canada, a squad of 10 plastic IG costs roughly 35 dollars. A squad of 10 metal IG costs 50 dollars. That's almost 50% more ($3.50 for a plastic trooper, add $1.50 on top of that for a metal one). 3/7ths more.
50 dollars is what the boxed sets of 10 Sisters used to cost before they discontinued them. (I presume you're making a reference to Sisters of Battle prices, anyways.)
And the blisters of 3 metal Vostroyans cost the same as the blisters of 3 metal Battle Sisters.
Their special weapon singles are roughly the same price as the Sisters' special weapon singles. Their heavy weapons are more expensive than Retributors, but come on a 60mm base with 2 infantry models and a gun model (and are the same price as the blisters of 3 regular infantry).

Are the percentages different in France?

Sorry for the confusion. Yeah, I've been on the UK site.
I wasn't aware the price differences are so much more enormous in dollars. Sheesh! My condolences. I don't even dare look at the Australian shop now.

Yes. Canada and Australia have historical GW price imbalances. It is known.

...dear lord, if they make them finecast... it is going to drive the cost into making a 2,000 point Steel Legion army from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars.
Sickening.

It's okay. I got 5 of those boxes of 10 Sisters before they discontinued the boxes.
Actually, I haven't bought any models for my Sisters in months, and not just because I've been out of the game. There's just nothing I need. I have my Uriah, my Celestine, 2 Canonesses, a decent-sized Battle Conclave, several dozen Sororitas with bolters, some with flamers, some with stormbolters, some with meltaguns, some with multi-meltas, heavy bolters, heavy flamers, a pair of Hospitallers, over 20 Repentia with only 1 Mistress, a squad of Seraphim, 2 or 3 with simulacrums, a custom banner bearer made from a Simulacrum bearer and a plastic Bretonnian banner, an Exorcist, 2 Penitent Engines, a few Immolators and Rhinos, a selection of Superiors with power weapons or plasma pistols, even a Dialogu... HOLY CRAP THEY TOOK MY SUGGESTION AND ADDED THE BATTLE CONCLAVE MODELS TO THE SISTERS SECTION!!!!!! : D : D : D : D
