In an attempt to generate some motivation to finish any of my many projects, I decided to start a blog! Hopefully this works out for me. At the moment I've played 40k for 14 years and in that time I've had...1 completely painted army... I enjoy painting "one-off" units as opposed to entire armies.

My current project is a Deathwatch squad for 40k. But I'm waiting for bits to come in, so I'll post some pics of my completed projects until I get a good start em!

Ok, first time using Dakka's gallery, so hopefully this works.

Here's a model I painted for a competition my LGS had when finecast first came out. The casts weren't great, but after opening our selected models we just went with it!

Wow, all this time and I'm just now noticing I never painted the lenses on the Space Marine helmet...

Here's some pics of a Nova Marine army I did for an escalation league 2 or 3 years ago. It was made out of mostly left over models I had lying around. I wanted to paint something different, and the quarter scheme was a fun challenge. They've since be sold on eBay.

Some of these pics were taken outside, hence the difference in colors. But they were all the same!

Here's Pedro with all the Crimson Fist symbols filed off, and a head swap. I intended to use lots of sternguard, but we never got that far.

I've always liked the Ezekiel model. But now that I look at him, I realise that his book and his face look very flat color wise.

This is probably my favorite Dreadnought model GW has made.

Razorback was pretty straight forward. Added in a few areas of more quarter scheme to break it up some.

Some AoBR Terminators. I like the way the sergent turned out.

And finally the Tact Marines.

Here's a Contemptor I got for Christmas last year(?). He was orginally meant to go in my SW army, but I couldn't "wolf" him up enough. So I started a poll over on BolterandChainsword to see what chapter he should be painted. Surprisingly, Scythes of the Emperor won out. Unfortunately I can't freehand the chapter symbol. Checker pattern on the knee as campaign badge, and to break up the color some. Also, first time I used blues to highlight black. Something I've stuck with, unless I want an older look.

This is my favorite group of models to date (and my most recent). I wanted an all WG Terminator army, and they were meant to be the start of it. Then GW changed their paints and I didn't want to risk mismatching colors for my "display army". So these guys are sitting in my LGS's display case. This is the army I get asked "When will you finish it?" the most. Maybe one day!

First up, my Wolf Priest in Terminator armour. He was never meant to see table time, I just always wanted one... And it was another excuse to practise blue highlights on black. The cloak's black was highlight with grey's, but the flash kind of washed them out.

These guys were built for 5th edition, hence all the claws. Now they're only good for slicing up power armour...

This guys my favorite ! The dynamic pose and the great looking bones on the shield!

And the group shot. It was very important to me that each guy looked very individual, and I think I achieved that.
