Sadly no expansive FAQ for Chaos Daemon as of yet. However in this case I don't believe the Daemon Prince of Slaanesh would get Rending on his ranged attack.

This is because of the wording of the Rending USR on page 41 of the rulebook.
Basically if a model(or the model's weapon) has Rending, his close combat attacks have Rending.
However a model only has Rending on his shooting attacks, if the ranged weapon itself has the Rending special rule.

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

Codex: Chaos Daemons, Page 26
Daemon of Slaanesh- Daemons of Slaanesh have the Daemon, Fleet, Hatred (Daemons of Khorne) and Rending special rules. In addition....

Rulebook, Page 41
Rending- If a model has the Rending special rule, or is attacking with a melee weapon that has the Rending special rule, there is a chance that his close combat attacks will strike a critical blow...
Similarly, if a model makes a shooting attack with a weapon that has the Rending special rule...

The Rending rule only applies to shooting attacks when it is the weapon itself bearing it. Therefore no, Daemon of Slaanesh does not grant the Lash Rending because it only applies to it's close combat attacks.
