So I made a purchase from GW, a space marine storm talon. Once I got home I opened the box and found out it only had a double if the cockpit sprue, missing the rear wings. I sent an email to GW Customer service requesting if it is possible that I can recieve a replacement. Did I handle this situation correctly? What other steps should I take?

They'll probably request you call. They always do for me. But otherwise seems spot on.

Yes call, them, have your box handy with any information they can gather from who packed it.
In the past I had a Baneblade that was missing a top hull, they sent me a whole new kit... Talk about service!

No I'm sorry to say that you did not handle this properly.
The correct response would have been to go down to your local GW store tie the defective box to a Molotov cocktail and throw it through the window.

GW will probably ship you a brand new kit. They will want to know the info on the box to track down the error.
As others have said, just call GW customer service with the box handy.

Kirasu: Have we fallen so far that we are excited that GW is giving us the opportunity to spend 58$ for JUST the rules? Surprised it's not "Dataslate: Assault Phase"
AlexHolker: "The power loader is a forklift. The public doesn't complain about a forklift not having frontal armour protecting the crew compartment because the only enemy it is designed to face is the OHSA violation."

No, looks like you did the right thing, and you'll almost certainly get a whole new kit as a free replacement. Say what you want about Evil Empire, their customer services has left me more than impressed everytime I've ever dealt with them.

No worries, brother. This happens from time to time, and if there is one thing that is generally agreed on, it's that Games Workshop has extremely accommodating and helpful customer service. (Be warned - both times I've called the operator had a Scottish accent thick enough to spread on toast. )

As others have said, youve done the right thing.
Got to hand it to GW, they may be an evil dictatorship of money grabbing, plastic crack dealing cash barons but they DO have one of the best customer services out there.

Yeah, I opened my Island of Blood box the other day and the Griffon rider's lance was broken at the base, and the Sea Guard champion's sword was bent badly. If it were just the sword I would have probably replaced it with something else myself, but since the Griffon was also broken...
So just rang them and the guy was really very polite and helpful. The broken bits will be sent out in a couple of days. They've always been really good with stuff like this in the relatively few times I've had to contact them.
